Vue JS 2: From Beginner to Professional (includes Vuex) (Udemy.com)

Overall the course gives a good understanding about vue and how to use vue. Most things where very informative and i learned allot about vue. What could be improved is that sometimes the Bo pre copies a piece of code and pastes it, what makes it very hard to follow because u need to pause to write that piece of code. What i also disagree a bit with is that Bo learns what is not best practice. It is nice to know, but don't make student write the code, it is confusing. Overall still a good course to follow if you want to learn vue!

A large part of this course you cannot follow along efficiently with your own code editor and upload your progress to github, there are many 2minute lectures that take me 5-10min to complete because he didn't continue where he left off and you sit paused rewriting his code in your editor. there are also many times where he made some changes off camera where he doesn't take the time to show you all the changes so you end up just downloading the start zip file and copying it in (overwriting your comments or comment old code out with refactoring so that you can go back later and see how the old code compared to the new refactored code) I just finished this course and I will have to look at the Router and Vuex documentation extensively to answer some of the questions that I have. The course really doesn't give you a good understanding of the complex stuff because Bo sits and talks without any examples or diagrams on screen about things you can do differently, I don't know about you guys but I'm not nearly as good as to picture in my head when someone talks about complex code of something else that you can do. Anyways, the course is very outdated and if I'd have done it again, I'll just have done a current course on Vue 3 and look at the documentation of what is new with Vue 3 and look at documentation of what are the legacy/Vue 2 implementations.

Only part of the way through the course, I can observe that it maintains an effective balance along multiple dimensions of my interaction with it – in terms of the speed of the learning curve; in terms of the learning curve itself – the course is long enough and goes in sufficiently accessible increments; in terms of the expectations of pre-acquired specific knowledge and of contextual knowledge; and in terms of the effectiveness of the examples as a way of facilitating acquisition of the explicitly- and even implicitly-provided information. It is well balanced for me – a person with several years’ experience with basic web technologies, including pure JavaScript, however, with limited experience with JS frameworks.

So far its great, but it sounds like the guy is reading from a script which is a little monotonous to listen to for long periods of time. also, it seems to lack the practical quizzes later on

Overall this was an excellent course. I was trying to quickly learn Vue and was having quite a bit of trouble. This course really solidified the core concepts for me. Things got a little difficult to follow in the vuex module, however. I also understand that a lot of things were not best practices and were just to demonstrate the concept being discussed, but it would be really helpful maybe see a version of the final projects that actually did use best practices. Still, this was very, very helpful.

I came in with already some knowledge of Vue.js but this course further strengthened my understanding of this framework. Bo did a great job of breaking up the logic of the tools that are available to use, and I liked how he provided github repos with branches separated by lectures. The only thing I wish is that he did the same for the last lecture about Vuex. I would also love it if Bo updated this course with a section about Axios as well, since not all Vue developers use vue-resource.

I found this course on youtube, and watched the first few hours of lectures, and followed along easily. I had been trying to learn Vue on my own, but was struggling without much direction. I am a very inexperienced and self-taught developer, so figuring this out on my own (this is the first framework I have ever used) was quite difficult. However, at the end of the 3 youtube videos I was starting to understand some of the importance and usefulness that Vue brings to the table, and already felt that I could start to use this new knowledge to weave together a very basic JS/CSS/HTML project. I decided to purchase the course and continue learning with it so that I can get in some good practice with these techniques before attempting a larger project myself. For a self-taught developer this is a great find, and a quick way to learn basics all the way up to implementing them in a full project. For reference, I am on the third lecture of part 2, which is working with an e-commerce web-app. Update: I am now halfway through the course, on lecture 148. I am still very satisfied with the course.

At first I thought the pace was really slow, then I realised that this course is indeed intended for the very beginners. I have finished the first passage of this course and I can now say that this is quite a great resource. This course takes you by hand and guides through the journey of learning Vue Js. Bo Andersen has done quite a good job explaining the ins and outs of Vue Js, giving practical advices on how to structure your code, and which best practices to levarage. Thanks Mr. Andersen.

Very well structured and nicely-paced course. I learned a few shortcuts that have already proven themselves useful in my current Vue project. Including the Vuex section was a very welcome addition. I do think that adding very small examples on aspects like preprocessor support or going to a bit more depth into some Vue best practices would've been excellent, although admittedly there's quite a lot of depth already so it's not completely necessary. Overall I highly recommend this course for developers of all levels.

This is the most advanced Vue course on Udemy. The author is most clearly an expert on the subject matter. Many Udemy authors who produce content in Laravel, Vue, or PHP are of moderate to high intermediate skill; few are truly experts. Bo is an expert on the subject of Vue and Vuex. His teaching style is also excellent, being project-based as opposed to topic-based. While he teaches topics, he integrates nearly all conceptual components into basic application examples. Whereas sometimes even advanced course authors simply create visual representations of what can be read in the written documentation for the framework at hand, Bo does a great job of explaining the why in addition to the how. I hope that Bo produces more content; he is an excellent instructor. 10 stars. I own every course on Udemy that remotely touches Vue, Vuex, or Laravel. 230+ in my archive on Udemy. Not a beginner's course but an excellent one nonetheless. Highly recommended.

This is an amazing course, that I highly recommend. The author is very knowledgeable and will take the time needed to explain everything that is required.

That being said I would have appreciated it if there was a small lecture or section on how to make the vuejs website seo friendly.
