Course Description

In this course you will learn how to apply DevOps. Why DevOps? It is one of the most sought after skills in the IT industry. The average salary in the US is $105,000 per year (source: Glassdoor), up to an average of $146,000 in San Fransisco (source: Indeed).
The course is aimed at software engineers and system administrators that want to deliver better software. Other IT professionals can also take this course, but might have to do some extra research to understand some of the concepts.
You will learn how to improve the Software Development Lifecycle by applying techniques to improve software delivery. I will explain how to improve delivery using automation, configuration management, provisioning and deployment tools. I also cover newer tools like Docker and Kubernetes. Where possible I point you towards the best practices in the field.
The course is very practical. There is about 3 to 4 hours of lectures, but you want to try out everything yourself, which will add multiple hours of learning. If you get stuck with the technology while trying, there is support available. I will answer your messages on the message boards and we have a Facebook group where you can post questions.

The parts about server configs goes a bit fast and not sure how to apply it. However, I am getting a good overall idea of what is involved with that part of Dev Ops. The bit about Jenkins does make a lot of sense and although I use PHP and composer, I can see how this would apply

The instructor is in great hurry to finish the modules. He is not explaining at all. Demo session is also carried very fast. Volume is so low. Very disappointed.

The speaker goes too fast.
I had to pause too many time or set the playback to a slower speed: it's nice I can do that, but I'm not supposed to be forced do that for the whole course.
Most content is outdated: it's a 2015 course which hasn't been updated much.
Some lessons are duplicates of the previous lesson, just put in a different form. Was that to make the course look longer than it is?

I find he lectures and following demo is largely same material -
they both go at a tremendously fast rate, with insufficient explanation of what is being done and why. I am googling so may terms to find out what "it" is and the "why".
Hence the repeating of the demo becomes a bit of a 'type the same and see it work' game, like typing in the code from the magazine I used to do in '81. I decided for the later case in fact there was little point in typing in the provided commands to see that what happens is the same as what happened when the instructor did it.
