Learn DevOps: CI/CD with Jenkins using Pipelines and Docker (Udemy.com)

The course is very interesting, gained hands on to use jenkins common uses. The sample code given are very useful. Some contents seems to be outdated, however the author responds to queries promptly. The visibility of the course content is blurred during demo of many chapters. I request the author to verify the content and replace them with better visible content, that will make the user experience better.

I am software developer who has worked in organizations that used Jenkins but was never in direct contact. This was a good overview of how it ticks and how I can interact with it in the future. I hope to start using it with my personal projects as well. I don't find anything that irrelevant.

This course offers great example on few integrations Some of the basics of Jenkins was not very clear to me. I ended going to youtube to re-learn about it. Some of the sections in Jenkins could have done locally for udemy purpose. There wasn't exactly the go-through of the groovy syntaxes, the codes were mostly already in the github repository and the instructor just highlights the syntaxes as he explains it by. I prefer the instructor writes the groovy code line by line and go through huddles that he or we might face.

I understand that the instructor is trying to quickly get someone up to speed with this course without spending a lot of time on the basics of underlying understanding. I spent too much time getting the basic things to work. I'm only halfway through the course at this point but I feel that I've spent enough time that I should be at least 80% done. I know more than when I started for sure but I'm not sure how I'm going to apply what I've seen so far to my task at hand in my job. I'm not sure whether to bag this course at this point and find another or trudge through the remaining sections. Sorry to be so negative but I don't feel prepared for much yet. It definitely would help if I had a better background understanding of these things before I started. This course might be more helpful for someone already into a lot of the base technology presented here. Might be more of my problem than the instructors.

Nowhere in course requirement section instructor mentioned that audience need to have docker as essential required skill to take this course. At times instructor was so miserable and confusing whether he is running a Jenkins tutorial or a docker tutorial. He expects students to "know all" about docker. Stay away from this course and find something better and easy to understand if you really want to learn Jenkins. I am out of 30 days window else would have certainly asked for refund.

Amazing, above expectations

Really great course.

Missing knowledge tests of any kind, lot of details haven't been covered if you want to test the same thing that teacher did in his lessons.

It's good course, it could have some more details about pipelines overall. And little more update

The course is easy to follow and provides a good foundation for the use of Jenkins. However, the demos are sometimes hard to follow, as the plugins have been updated since the release of the course.
