Mumshad Mannambeth's CKAD course, built with the KodeKloud team, is a 16.6 hour prep track for the Certified Kubernetes Application Developer exam. It has 213 lectures across 15 sections, covering core concepts, configuration, multi-container pods, observability, services, state persistence and security. Helm and a Kustomize block round it out. Each topic is a short video followed by a browser lab, so nothing needs installing. The requirements list expects Kubernetes basics, so it suits people who have touched a cluster, not total newcomers.

Reviewers mostly like the pairing of theory and labs. One says the labs and theory line up so well that a beginner can follow along, and another reports passing the exam after taking it. Perfect course to prep for the CKAD cert which is content and concept heavy. It joins both small videos explanatory videos as mini lecture and provides labs to practive the concepts and theory while still fresh !

Excellent course, excellent content, and the exams are very useful. I noticed that some exams have a different version from the video explaining the solution, which is a minor issue. Nevertheless, my rating is 5 stars.

I think the proposal of content structure is great, but there's a big deal of conflict on keeping up to date with the current k8s version. Also, there's inconsistencies in the level of complexity: pods and containers are explained from 0, while the Encrypting Secret Data at Rest section is explained really vague and even using concepts not yet introduced (Volume) which shocked me in the learning path. I really think this course should be renovated from 0 as of 04/2026!

Perfect! Actually just realising now that this course only is enough for one to pass CKAD exam, the course provided by Linux Foundation is just a luxury that one doesn’t need, on a lighter note

Mumshad was awesome, his teaching was so nice, it was the main reason for achieving the CKAD certification. There were 2 things which bothered me, the 2 mock tests in the course were very easy, real exam is much harder than these, they also recommended to purchase a separate mock test series, which i could not afford. Another thing is there is another guy who use to come in the labs, I felt that it would be good if Mumshad did those labs as well, as I was used to his teaching. Overall all, it is a good course, but just this course alone will not help you to pass. I also followed Zeal Vora's course.

It is a good course to learn everything and get a hands on experience as well, definitely not enough for a newbie to ace the exam, but really helps build all the foundation and clear the concepts.

This course has an optimal pace, if you already know something about kubernetes, but want to prepare for the exam. The practice tests are one of the highlights of the course, but had one issue (image pull) when I tried the first time. It was fixed on the next day. For that I removed half a star, but after a while changed my mind. All in all one of the best courses I did on the platform (currently in section 6).
