Docker for the Absolute Beginner - Hands On - DevOps (Udemy.com)

Delievers what it promises: a brief and good overview of the fundamentals of docker for people without any existing docker experience. Afterwards you will have a solid understanding of the basic docker terms, you will be able to run existing containers from the docker registry and also to orchestrate them via docker-compose.
I also really like the idea behind the practical exercises, using a virtual linux shell on the cloud. But I'm not quite sure if you are not a little lost if you have no linux experience at all.
Even this is a great course there is (as always) some room for improvements:
- the explanations within the practical exercices could be a bit a more detailed. I was sometimes forced to click on the "give me hint" button (which indeed too often just tells you the complete solution) than it would have been necessary if would have better known what to do
- everything appears a bit "impersonal" to me, but I know that is a question of personal taste

The course is a good starting point for beginners, but I would expect a bit more and better explained content. On the other hand, the KodeKloud exercises were really nice.

Very easy to follow. I really like the hands on labs that can be performed from your browser rather than installing additional items.

I am very familiar with cloud operations and wanted to start learning kubernetes but wanted to get fundamentals of how containers work. This course has been very helpful and has given me the knowledge to move on to kubernetes for beginners to then go for the CKA.
