Fettah Ben's course is a talk-through introduction to PowerShell for Windows admins, with 92 lectures across 12 sections and about 9.6 hours of video. The syllabus is front-loaded with fundamentals: finding commands, reading help, running them, providers and drives, then variables, hashtables, regular expressions and operators. Nothing in the section list covers loops or functions, so this is groundwork, not a scripting course, despite what the description promises. It dates from 2015, and the last update was April 2026.

Happy reviewers like the structure, the approachable teaching and the way the basics are explained. A few call it a solid base for a total beginner. The complaints are consistent, though. Several students wanted labs and real examples, one said the course ends by promising a next section that never arrives, and another felt it spent too long on abstract topics like transactions and scope while skipping loops. Two reviewers found the French accent hard to follow, and an older review criticized the use of aliases and missing coverage of piping.

It's a good start for an absolute beginner in powershell, but I was expecting the course to dive a bit deeper than it did. Gives a good grounding from which to kick on, but don't expect any complex topics covered

This course covers everything that you would need as a system admin - from your basics in PowerShell to more complex tasks that you will need for managing and operating local and cloud services. The level of detail, the use cases, the examples all lead you to a point where you want to review all your current processes and see if a little more automation is required.

The course was full of useful information and the instructor knew the subject very well. Sometimes the strong accent was difficult to comprehend, but mostly was acceptable. Most of the explanations of tasks were well presented, though a couple were not explained too well. I got a Black Friday deal on the price and it was worth that, but I would not say it is worth the normal full price.

Repeating topics already covered, difficult to understand his speech, Inaccurate explanations (cmdlet syntax positions), doesn't show best practice coding. I'm in Video 29 and he is still on help. It does look like he has done any production coding. It is a PowerShell course use powershell not flip though OS UI dialogs and apps. I will skip to the next section to see if it gets better.

The accent of the lecturer is strong which I barely understand and the caption doesn't help at all. The pace of the lectures is super slow which is only good for non-technical person. The same knowledge keep repeating a lot but I skipped almost half of the course. Need more improvement on the course structure and on the presentation. The price is not worthy.
