Course Description
PowerShell is the must-have tool for system administrators. Jump-start your career, and your IT environment, by getting up and running with the latest version, PowerShell 7.5
PowerShell is a cross-platform task automation and configuration management framework, consisting of a command-line shell and scripting language. Unlike most shells, which accept and return text, PowerShell is built on top of the .NET Common Language Runtime (CLR), and accepts and returns .NET objects. This fundamental change brings entirely new tools and methods for automation.
Unlike traditional command-line interfaces, PowerShell cmdlets are designed to deal with objects. An object is structured information that is more than just the string of characters appearing on the screen. Command output always carries extra information that you can use if you need it.
If you've used text-processing tools to process data in the past, you'll find that they behave differently when used in PowerShell. In most cases, you don't need text-processing tools to extract specific information. You directly access portions of the data using standard PowerShell object syntax.
PowerShell is rapidly becoming the solution that Operators turn to with its powerful combination of a scripting language, command line speed, and GUI tools (Graphical User Interface).
This course is an introduction to PowerShell where you'll have an opportunity to learn how to replace manual, repetitive, and time-consuming operations with an automated solution.
With a solid foundation in PowerShell, you’ll learn the fundamental knowledge of PowerShell and how to utilize the program efficiently, through these courses, you’ll explore the critical skill of how to use the PowerShell help system and build the command syntax. Next, you'll discover how to use commands and be introduced to aliases, cmdlets, providers, and psdrives. Finally, you'll learn how to configure, navigate, and get the most out of the different PowerShell consoles.
By the end of these courses, you’ll have elevated your PowerShell skills to the next level and taken the next step towards PowerShell mastery.
The ideal students for this course is the system and network administrators that want greater efficiency in their daily administrative work. Whether you have zero scripting experience or are looking for highest-level, advanced training. PowerShell allows you to go straight to the command line and get jobs done with greater speed, consistency and even repetition.
Enroll and Enjoy learning PowerShell.

You can hear the eager excitement in his voice as he gets ready to drop all that PowerShell knowledge on his students. This is a complete course with good explanations and practical examples. I really enjoyed this course. Thanks, man. I have played around with PowerShell in the past, but now I have a solid understanding of what it is and what it is used for. A few students complained about his accent. I can understand him just fine. I am hear to learn not to find fault. The Role Play does not allow you enough time to complete the skills assessment.

I’m learning a lot and building strong confidence in PowerShell through this course. The instructor’s accent might be a bit challenging for those who aren’t used to it, but I’ve had no issues. In fact, I have a lot of respect for anyone teaching technical material in a second language, that’s no small feat. Some parts of the course may feel repetitive, but I see that as a strength. Repetition really helps reinforce the material and build mastery. Overall, I truly appreciate the course and the effort put into it.

The first thing that made me an impression was the poor English of the instructor. It was hard for me to concentrate and understand the topics. Second thing was that the most of the content is repetitive and the course is unnecessary long. Third thing is the lack of hands-on exercise in the course.

I was a bit hesitant to take this course at first, as I have limited experience with PowerShell, but I am so glad I did. The instructor was excellent, with a clear and concise teaching style that made the material easy to understand. The course was well-structured, with clear objectives and well-defined sections, making it easy to see my progress and track my learning. I appreciated the hands-on exercises, as they helped me apply what I learned in a practical way. The use of real-world examples made the material relevant and engaging, and the instructor's enthusiasm for the subject was contagious. I feel like I learned a lot and I would definitely recommend this course to others.

Very good beginner course. Strangely doesn't get as in-depth as some of the shorter courses out here, but that's OK. I'd recommend starting with this one and then finding a more advanced one. I still learned a couple things which I did not know previously

Very Informative and very helpful. I really enjoyed this course and it helps me to build my knowledge in Powershell. Please also add "while", foreach, if-elseif-else, etc for automatic the tasks, if possible.

The course itself is just fine, no doubt about it! I just had really quite difficult time to understand everything he was saying because of the accent I think I actually would have preferred in French language with good english subtitles since I assumed french is the instructors mother tongue.
By Edward Tisdale on 8/22/2023
Teacher got right to the point of every and kept a persistent format throughout each section with complete explanations of everything. It does not get super advanced, so if you think Beginner To Advanced means you will have a lot of advanced topics, that might be subjective, but to me it looked more like a Beginner to Intermediate, but it was worth the cost.
By Patrick Alberto Ibarra Díaz on 1/17/2023
Course is really clear, however some of the topics feels quite repetitve. Also there are unconvered topics like the pipeline in detail and some others that are not related to pwsh7. BTW this course won't cover any advanced topic.

Don't pass this course up, seriously! From soup to nuts, Fettah gives you the recipes to excel in the world of Powershell and automation. If you're not automating your server tasks on ANY version of Windows server, you're at least 15+ years behind the times. I was doing it with PERL in the early 2000s and doing it now with Powershell. Fettah gives you the tools to be ahead of your peers when it comes to Powershell.
