Ihave a passion for game development anda love for creative problem-solving. Ihave written and self-published a science fiction novel and love all things creative. Ihave experience assisting and tutoring in engineering, mathematics, physics, chemistry, and programming.
Inow am an industry professional creating surgical simulations. It is extremely rewarding and my passion is to pass on my knowledge so others can achieve a highly engaging and fun career as Ihave!
Ienjoy biking, drawing, 3D-design, and procedural generation in video games. I am currently teaching how to implement algorithms such as procedurally-generated level creation techniques on my YouTube page:DruidMechanics.
Ihave also written a book on Unreal Engine C++, available on Amazon, titled:Unreal Engine C++The Ultimate Developers Handbook.

The Instructor created top-notch quality content. Audio was well done. Transitions between content modules was very well done. Instruction was clear, understandable, and well taught. Highly recommended.

Highly recommended course. Started off covering the fundamentals of UE4 programming and object manipulation, which was needed but can be tough to get through. Sticking with it, is rewarded with very interesting game making in the main chunk of the lectures where we waltzed through a lot of topics and gameplay mechanics. Lectures got a bit messy towards the end but to be expected with what is most of a game and the amount of bugs you have to fix to get your desired gameplay. As everything is well explained and a large variety of gameplay mechanics have been introduced, you are given the tools to then continue developing it and fix the remaining bugs.
Altogether, this is a great introduction to UE4 and I no longer look at games the same way, I understand what hidden mechanics game developers have used. Now I'm looking forward to creating my own fully fledged game.

This is an excellent course that teaches how to do so much. I daresay that it should be required learning media inside a curriculum for independent home learning for UE4 and C++. Mr. Ulibarri is very knowledgable and does a good job of explaining how everything works as he is teaching it. The monotone of his voice though can be soporific and I've literally fallen asleep during lectures before. I even stopped study for over a month due to it. This, I suppose, is more of a problem with me than him though. Also, he never makes use of private functions or variables which I didn't understand but it really didn't seem to matter in the end. Absolutely great course and I am sure I will have to revisit and reference it many times again in the future.

Great course that goes into the C++ aspect of the development process. It is frustrating to find so many courses focusing only on blueprints. As a software developer with experience in C++, I was very happy to find what I was looking for: A C++ based approach to UE4 development, with a minimal amount of Blueprints mixed in.

I had a few difficulties getting things to work on my Mac (just because Visual Studio Code operates a bit differently), but this course was incredible. I found the course inspiring me to forge off on my own all over the place, and I felt like I learned what I needed to learn to build a robust game.
I would've loved to see more mechanics explored, like rolling, inventory management, load screens, or cutscenes -- but, this was awesome. Stephen is also super responsive and supportive

Provides a very gentle introduction to Unreal, covering many aspects in a clear and interesting way.
Nevertheless, I have found his coding style very confusing and it is not recommended to learn clean-code and C++.

This course, and the instructor, is awesome and far beyond my expectations.

Coming from 3 years in Unity I expected the transition to Unreal to take months but thanks to Stephen and his excellent course I am up and running within just a couple weeks!
