Course Description

User experience (UX) design provides a theoretical understanding of how users interact with websites. Everything humans interact with has an experience associated with it. Some are good, some are bad, but it is only recently that have we begun to consciously design these experiences. We are now at a point in time when experience-design has suddenly exploded into the consciousness of business people and ordinary people all over the world.
This breakthrough guide will help you understand and define your users and build empathy for their potential problems. We'll start our journey by looking at human-centered observations, where you will learn different types of observation methods, and also learn about human-centered design. Also understand Empathy building by defining Proto persona.
Next, you will learn how to build, design, and test your persona. Moving on, dive into observing user habits and technology, where you will see the difference in good and bad habits. You'll also find out how to set up a new habit and design. Finally, take a look at Human Insights and get started writing your own Insights from a User Point of View.

Broaden my knowledge so far. Learned Empathy, Technology, Habits of users. Equipment to use for research work . Only issue I find is the proto-personas. Spent alot of time explaining and using Illustrator. Aren't familliar with this software but Photoshop instead.

Conteúdo um pouco básico, sem um aprofundamento necessário em estudos de casos reais. Não apresenta os resultados obtidos a partir da aplicação das metodologias apresentadas.

The slides are often detailed and can be distracting whilst your talking. You didn't explain how you came to the conclusion of amazon's client persona being a woman over 35 with two kids? Seems random. The whole persona just seemed made up, how did you come to a conclusion of how much each technology was used? Real world example would of been better for a small business, what there pain points are in that business context.

Definitely helped me to confirm that I want to change career for UX, well... Human Centered Design. Helped me to figure out which part of the whole process I'm the more interested in, and how I can use, improve and transform my actual skills. Really helpful and inspiring!

It is good but in between it seems teaching softwares which breaks the flow of learning.

Invaluable knowledge! I needed to learn this to create member personas for one of my meetings and it was great. Everyone loved my work. Thanks to Packt Publishing. Totally worth it.

Waist of time and money: a lot of unimportant information, a lot of spelling mistakes, some tables and graphics that live their own life, because lecturer says something without pointing attention to the material. The result he gives after the course (material in Illustrator) for me seems to be a tablespoon of water smudged on 5 or 6 pdf papers. Mostly was scrolling

Each section is thorough explaination and walk through on how to practice the different elements and how they fit together. I really love the challenges that gets you started on practicing some of th methods and elements presented.

By Sovona Mandal

I would have liked some downloadable/clickable resource material. Or notes.

It helped a lot in terms of building user personas. It has helped me to churn data and look for nuances to build a persona.
