There was reference to downloadable projects so we could follow along, but there were no files for download. I had to create my own files, so I was able to get hands on, but the waveforms were different, and the results were different.

An excellent course on Audacity! It truly stands above expectations! The delivery is extremely professional, and the lessons tell you what one needs to know about Audacity before one gets down to editing one's projects. The course is free yet far better than all the training programs on Audacity I have done so far. As an audiobook narrator, I have been looking for a course like this. I heartily thank the producers for this brilliant course and look forward to taking part 2 of the course soon.

This course gives you a basic knowlege about recording and editing audio for free. After the course you'll be able to prepare yourself for recording and clean your audio file from noises. A very good course for people who want to make a decent podcast or simple sound effect. You should check out part 2 for more advanced lessons.

Clearly explained, and seems that it will be thorough. This is the information that I was looking for years ago when I first tried to record a relaxation training script. I'm looking forward to the rest of the information - especially about how to overdub the relaxation script with nature sounds in the background. I'm even getting interested in learning how to record video and screen casting to produce videos for posting on YouTube.

The instructor presents this course in a well thought out manner, giving you a thorough & in-depth introductory education about using Audacity in an easy to understand & follow format. It lays the groundwork to set you up for creating successful professional projects you will be proud to say you produced; I can't wait to start part 2.

I am actually quite blown away by how professional this "free" course is. I have taken my time running through it this afternoon and have really enjoyed it and feel that I have come away with a much better understanding of the features within Audacity. As a user of Camtasia some of the content was familiar to me, but this was still of great value and even if you do not use Camtasia, similar products will incorporate the same/similar functionality. Despite this course being a couple of years old now, and the current version of Audacity being 2.2.2, the content and information provided in this course is just as valid now as when it was recorded. It has been a little while since I have been so impressed with a "free" course that I felt compelled to enroll in another by the same instructor, especially for a paid course. Thank you so much Eric for putting this free course together and for the excellent delivery and information it contains. "Part 2" purchased! :)

This is a "free" part one of two parts and is a basic overview. As a new user of Audacity this course has made me feel very comfortable with the basic controls. I also have some resources to research anything I need beyond this course as well. I have now completed Part One and was so impressed I immediately signed up for Part Two. Very good instructor. Pacing is perfect and very knowledgeable on the subject. I had an immediate need for this information and was able to successfully edit a bit of audio and it sounded pretty good in the end. Once I complete Part Two I feel as though I will be a whiz at Audacity and will be able to clean up the audio even more. Naturally the audio in this course is very good but the visuals are well done also. There are a few Audacity courses on Udemy and I am very glad I chose this one.

This course is so far clear and concise. It shows how to install, setup and record using Audacity and introduces you to screencast software. Introductory level course but very beneficial. The latter part of the course introduces you to editing techniques and give great tips on how to arrange your workflow to avoid unrecoverable mistakes. While a little light on specific detail for editing, it serves as a perfect introduction and leads seamlessly into the more advanced and detailed part 2 training. Overall an excellent beginners course.

This is one of the great course in audacity editing and camtasia editing for a beginners you will really learn a lot of the foundation with multiple hands on examples on editing the sound and video in camtasia and going through exporting this is really a practical course that will teach from the start on what actually you have to do first on editing. There is an overview section explaining each detail so you can have this reference so in the future you can take the skill to the next level by using the resources and lecture in this course. Each lecture is explain clearly and with fine details on it that you can follow. Learn and apply all the lessons in this course and start editing videos and audios with awesomeness and refinement. Take this course and start becoming a audio and video editor master and skyrocket your business productivity and sales. Thank you so much :D

a very poor course , you wasted my day in order to make us pay in the next course , you just wasted my time , if you wanna make people pay in another one ,so make something that value ,not just intros with no end ,and repeating of info many times in many shapes - hope you do your best in your next courses ,thats my review
