Course Description
Learn ChatGPT for productivity through practical lessons in prompt engineering, content creation, document analysis and everyday work. Explore GPT-6 Astra demonstrations and discover how ChatGPT features can support writing, working with information and organizing ongoing tasks.
Have you used ChatGPT but received answers that were too general, incomplete or difficult to apply? This course helps you develop a more structured approach. Learn to explain what you need, provide relevant information, choose appropriate features and review the results before using them.
You will begin with the foundations of ChatGPT and generative AI, then explore practical applications involving content, documents, data, images and voice. The course is designed for beginners and everyday users who want to understand the tools they are using and apply them more confidently.
Learn ChatGPT with a practical purpose
ChatGPT becomes more useful when you connect it to a specific task. You might want to draft a blog post, understand a document, explore information, create an image or prepare a proposal for a potential client.
The demonstrations in this course introduce different ways of approaching these tasks. Follow the examples, experiment with your own requests and notice how the information you provide influences the response.
You will also explore the interface, model selection and differences between free and paid plans. These lessons help you understand the options shown in the course and the access you may need to follow particular demonstrations.
Understand ChatGPT and generative AI
Start with an accessible introduction to ChatGPT, OpenAI and the large language models behind AI conversations.
Explore how generative AI produces responses and why those responses can be useful while still requiring review. You do not need a background in machine learning or advanced mathematics to follow the introductory material.
The course also examines generative AI in the workplace and introduces responsible use. Understanding both capabilities and limitations helps you make better decisions about when to use ChatGPT and how carefully to check its output.
This foundation supports the practical lessons that follow, whether your interest is writing, business communication, working with documents or exploring AI tools.
Develop ChatGPT prompt engineering skills
ChatGPT prompt engineering begins with communicating your task clearly.
Learn to think about what you want ChatGPT to do, what information it needs and how you want the response presented. A request for a short explanation needs different instructions from a request for a professional proposal or a document summary.
Through the course examples, explore how prompts connect to practical activities. Pay attention to the audience, purpose, context and requested output, then adapt those elements to your own work.
You can also practise refining an initial response. Ask for clearer wording, a different structure or a more focused answer, and compare the results. The aim is to build useful prompting habits that you can apply across different tasks.
Explore GPT-6 Astra through demonstrations
The course includes lessons featuring GPT-6 Astra in the ChatGPT environment.
Explore demonstrations involving document analysis, data visualization and website creation. These examples help you connect the model name to practical tasks and understand how the available tools support the result.
Follow the demonstrated process, examine the output and consider how you would adapt the request for your own purpose. For a document task, check whether the response reflects the source material. For a visualization, examine whether the chart supports the conclusion. For a website, review the generated result against the original request.
Access to models and tools can vary by account, plan and availability. The purpose of these lessons is to help you understand the demonstrated workflows and develop habits you can continue using as the interface evolves.
Create useful content with ChatGPT
Explore ChatGPT content creation through examples involving blog writing, Facebook and YouTube descriptions, essays, stories and job proposals.
Learn how to describe a topic, request a suitable structure and give instructions that reflect your audience. Use the examples to practise moving from an initial idea to a draft you can edit.
If you are a content creator, marketer or freelancer, these lessons provide starting points for your own writing tasks. You can experiment with tone, length and presentation to see how different instructions affect the response.
Generated content still needs your judgment. Review facts, remove unnecessary wording and adapt the draft to your own voice. Do not assume that an AI-generated answer is automatically accurate, original or ready to publish.
Work with documents and information
The document-analysis lessons introduce ways to use ChatGPT with supplied material.
Explore how to ask questions about a document and request a useful interpretation of its contents. Practise being specific about the information you need and compare the response with the original material.
These tasks are useful opportunities to improve your prompting. A broad request may produce a general summary, while a focused request can help you examine a particular issue or piece of information.
The emphasis is on using ChatGPT as an assistant while keeping the source material and your own review central to the process.
Explore ChatGPT data analysis and visualization
The course includes a practical introduction to using ChatGPT for analysis and visual presentation.
See how information can be explored and represented through visualizations. Consider what question you are trying to answer, what the data contains and whether the resulting explanation is supported.
This is an introduction to ChatGPT-assisted analysis within a broader productivity course. It gives you a starting point for exploring the capabilities demonstrated in the lessons.
As you practise, check the figures and conclusions against the supplied data. A clear-looking chart is useful only when it represents the information correctly.
Discover images, voice and multimodal AI
Multimodal AI involves working with different forms of information, including text, images and audio.
Explore ChatGPT image generation, image editing and voice-based interactions through the published demonstrations. These lessons introduce ways to communicate and create beyond a conventional text conversation.

well I was a bit disappointed as it was geared towards developers and I am not a developer. I can use CHATGPT very well and have used it for a while. But all in all excellent content.

currently, the content is predominantly delivered through audio and picture-based formats. Introducing more video lectures featuring instructors could make the sessions more engaging. Having instructors present the material with expressions and interactive styles would not only make the learning more dynamic but also more accessible and easier to follow.

Thank you for the course. I enjoyed it. Some parts were fast talking but, in all and all it was good.

The accent of the teacher is really difficult to understand. It would be of great help to have transcriptions of the classes that could be either downloaded, such as pdf files or copied and pasted to a Word document.
