Comprehensive Guide to Financial Markets, Investing, Trading (Udemy.com)

I think it was a very complete course on the financial markets. And think it will take a considerable amount of time to digest the material. The process of selecting an asset, and whether to long or short the stock, and entry and exit processing and technical analysis will take time to learn. A guide making this process clearer for newbies, would be nice. If that had been added at the end of the course that would have been 5 stars for me.

Actually I am looking for the Forex Trading investment style; but the overall information received in the lessons are good; in the sense that it gives you Macro Economic View of what Financial Assets Classes available for investment. With this course I am able to know vast diversity of the Financial Investment methods available at the present time for the investor; I am explore one of them at later stage. As this course instructor Mr. Hari Swaminathan is expert faculty on Option; I may try the options as one of my investment instrument.

I am beyond thrilled with this course. It offered a considerable amount of valuable information, and it was presented in an easy to understand approach. I’ve taken two other online option courses, but still felt confused. There was much more needed information in this course that was left out by the others. Hari is extremely thorough and tremendously knowledgeable. I highly recommend this course.

I have traded stocks and mutual funds in the past and now that I'm retired I wanted to try option trading. This course was a very good review of the financial markets with a great intro into options. I have already signed up for three more of Hari's more advanced option trading courses. I find Hari is very easy to follow and even my wife listening from the kitchen commented on this.

There's a lot of content here but I feel Hari could slow his delivery down. Also, when looking at the trading screen, there's a lot on the screen and it's not always clear what he's speaking about. Maybe a course to go through a couple of times to get the most benefit.

I really enjoyed this course. This was a good overview of different investment vehicles with some examples showing how to apply the concepts. I went back through most of the course a second time so that I could take notes. It also got me excited to get to the option courses taught by the same instructor. I am taking them in the order the instructor recommended. This course was definitely worth the investment and the instructor is very knowledgeable.

Hari is not only very knowledgeable & experienced in options and financial markets, but also very passionate in sharing and teaching. This is a very good overview of the overall financial markets and some of the insight and rules of thumb that Hari has shared in this class are invaluable for beginners. I liked that besides providing a map of the financial world, the course also provided insights into the inner workings of smart money & rules of thumbs on how assets classes and trade instruments are correlated and how they behave. I look forward to the advanced class.

Thanks for the great, comprehensive introduction to the subject, with some very nice practical advice. I was awed by the overview of financial markets, felt compelled to dive in with the following practical advice and demos, and believe I am at least aware of the most of the basics in this field at this point. I just want to point to some potential improvements: 1) Some parts (options, imported from an other course) were out of order. There're mentions of some operations that either never happens (risk-cost?) or will happen later. This part needs to be reviewed and edited/sorted. 2) In the last parts you emphasize that position sizing/risk management is very important, and if I should remember one thing from this course, it should be this. I agree it's important. So, instead of mentioning it at the last minute with a few sentences at the end (human factors), why don't you devote a proper section to it? Otherwise the fact that it's not covered through out the course and then suddenly noted as the most important tip to take away doesn't fit well. Thanks again, there's a lot to appraise, but I thought the above points would be helpful to make the course even better.

The instructor teaches complex investment concepts through well organized, interesting, and relevant lectures. He isolates the most important points to understand the benefits and risks of each investment instrument. A very enjoyable course indeed. Have already purchased the options course bundle and can't wait to go though many more! Currently finishing my Computer Science undergrad, and have been thinking about a masters of quantitative finance, but maybe these courses along with other resources on Udemy and alsewhere will be just as sufficient and save me quite a bit of money. Two suggestions that could make the course even better in my opinion are 1. More examples on the TOS platform for trades or examples using other trading platforms, and 2. More thorough quiz sections that test the retention of learned information and/or questions that ask about knowledge of making the trades themselves with a comprehensive final exam (Understandably Udemy's quiz section is probably fairly limited). Altogether this was an enjoyable experience, and I strongly recommend to anyone else getting started in the amazing and complex world of finance.
