Course Description
A Logic Model is a planning, learning and management tool that shows how program and organisational activities lead to desired results and change. Logic Models are important as they explain your Theory of Change, help you plan and develop an evaluation strategy. They support you to test your assumptions and theory concerning how to solve a particular problem or issue.
Logic Models engage and energise those managing and implementing activities, and are used to gain the support of funders and grant makers. They are use to monitor activities and determine how efficient and effective they are.
Using a Theory of Change and Logic Models in your planning, monitoring and evaluation work will help you understand your activities better; communicate more effectively with your team, funders and donors; report more efficiently on what works and why; and improve your success and social impact.
This course explains in detail who uses Logic Models, the definitions and how to create your own Logic Model step by step. It provides an overview of how the Logic Model is the foundation work needed before you begin an evaluation.

I thought it was a really good overview and start to designing intervention logic models. It built on my knowledge and extended it to how to use these as a measurement tool and a funding tool. Thank you very much!

Very clear, succinct and helpful explanation of logic models. Despite the title, there is not much info on what a theory of change is, the difference between a TOC and a logic model, or how to create a TOC. I would suggest changing the title to more accurately reflect the training's content.

A fantastic, well-structured course! It guides learners through the process step by step, providing enough detail to be informative without overwhelming beginners. The additional resources are excellent. Special thanks to the instructor for clear pronunciation and comfortable speech pace.

The course is impressive without ignoring the fact that the concept of the Theory of Change is complex and complicated to someone who has never developed one in an environment that is not applied. For someone to thrive well in the concept, I do believe that even the environment I find myself in will contribute in terms of sharing knowledge through brainstorming.

Even though the delivery was program-focused, I found it useful id sharpening my skills in becoming a better project writer by being better able to "frame" the project from the onset and from being better able do define outcomes and their indicators.

This was a good process to reinforce thinking around what this model represents, how I can think about how I can apply this in my own work, and also confirming the actions that I'm doing align with good practice. Looking forward to the remaining sections.

Solid logic and I was able to go straight to application. Lost a star because I felt the course ran out of steam in the home straight with Assumptions and CSFs.

This is exactly what I was hoping for, the information is directly relevant to the non-profit sector I work in. After completing the whole course, I am just updating to say that all the resources are very helpful. The framework is very applicable to several projects I'm involved with and in trying to help steer non-profit change management. Thank you!

LOVE the content. You will learn a lot, most of which you thought you knew until it is explained and then you suddenly realize the gaps in your planning etc.... totally recommended for all.

This course was fantastic. A clear, useful, step by step overview of logic models suitable for the beginner or an experienced practitioner looking for a refresher. The format is easy to use and allows you to stop and start as you wish and fit around busy work schedules.
