This course uses Vertx 4.+ and hasn't been updated to Vertx 5. I completed the course using the latest version and found that POM file dependencies had changed between versions and some of the commands used had been deprecated or removed completely, especially around WebSockets and Postgres. This made following the course more difficult as I had to spend time looking at API documentation for the classes, methods etc. The instructor also jumps around a bit within each video which meant I was constantly stopping and starting the videos when trying to follow along or ensure I understood what was being done. That aside the course was useful introduction into the subject and has given me a better understanding of the framework, which is what I was looking for. Access to the GitHub code was useful as a way to see what was being covered, however for those sections where the previous sections code was used as the basis for the next section it may be beneficial to version the code to match the sections, as the github code is really the completed course code.
