Course Description
This course is designed to introduce a technician to the principles of electricity. If you are new to the field or have the experience, take my class to refresh your memory of the following:
What electricity is, how electricity works.
What components make up a circuit.
How circuits operate.
What has to happen for an electrical component to operate properly.
There are no requirements to take this course except to be willing to learn about electricity, how it works and how to control it to make it work for us.
Electricity is hard to understand because you cannot see it; you cannot smell it, and touching it is one thing you don't want to do. You should take this course so that I can help you understand how electricity works, where electricity comes from, how it gets to you, and how we can make electricity work for us. I tell technicians who take my class: "electricity is very lazy. We need to make it work for us and work properly." Take my class, and I will get you on the road to understanding, troubleshooting and repairing electrical components in an HVAC unit.
Working with electricity is much more than just knowing how to install or repair electrical equipment or HVAC electrical components. By taking the Basic Electricity course, you will be equipped with the proper techniques and safety skills to lead you to your professional success.

Great instructor! It's early days for me, but I can already see that Julio has the right spirit and personality to do this kind of training - I trust him. Looking forward to learning more.

This course was exactly what I was looking for. The instructor Julio explained and articulated each section with the perfect balance of detail and explanation. The whiteboard helped to make concepts clear and digestible. I have taken a great number of Udemy courses, and this one gets top-5 out of well over 50+. Don't let the 'HVAC title' sway you from taking this course as it's packed full of solid teachings of principals and fundamentals that anyone ambitious about electrical circuits and functions will greatly appreciate. This was totally worth every dollar and even fun, like looking at the picture of a completed 1000-piece jigsaw puzzle. Do yourself a favor and dive in, thank me later! Trust me, you'll be happy you did!!

The tutor is well versed with the topic, he was very knowledgeable about the topic, and very passionate about teaching. He was clear and format of teaching is very good; I was able to enjoy the lesson and learn much.

No issues with the teacher or the information given. However, the audio issues with the other students that you can hear in the video make it difficult to catch everything and is distracting overall.

I have been doing electrical drafting work for many years but never took any courses. This is helping me immensely. Given this knowledge, I feel more confident in what I am doing and if I see a problem I will ask questions, thus increasing my knowledge even more. The instructor is a natural teacher, making sure that everyone understands the course and encourgages us to test what we've just learned. He does a review before and after each class to bring it all together.

The lecturer is very methodological in teaching and he has knowledge but not 100%. also the problem is the the quality of the voice recording (sometimes cant understand) and the students have more volume than lecturer, also there is no HD quality video. i doubt also on his lecture about using continuity and ohm while power is on, i believe it is unsafe

Excellent communicator. 2 test questions so far have been an issue. One didn't have a correct answer to choose from and another the wording was opposite of what it should be so I ended up picking the wrong answer compared to what the problem considered correct.

Excellent course for, I would give it 5 stars is some of the quiz questions didn't have the wrong answers, something I've seen other reviewers say but not yet fixed. Concepts are well explained and I gained a lot of knowledge, only thing I would have liked explained better is how a circuit is completed by the neutral wire if there is no voltage there. The answer (as far as I can understand) is that there is a tiny amount of voltage but a wire has practically no resistance so the current is also negligible but it is present when the circuit is closed.
