What do Udemy students say about this Fundraising course?

"5 Star Rating! The course is really good. The presenter does truly present very well. His teaching is a great model for how to do it well. Trying to think of something to give some good constructive criticism but I cannot come up with anything. Good suggestion, enforced and reinforced very well. I like how each lecture just starts up and the is no fluff at the first of each lecture that gets so repetitive and old. Good job" Steven Cherrington

"5 Stars! Very informative and simple to understand. Good stuff!!!" St. Patrick Dunbar

"5 Stars! TJ Walker did a great job engaging my attention, showing me the simple process to use to achieve the goals in fundraising I wanted, and being very straightforward about techniques to use to overcome personal limitations or mindsets &fears to be effective in asking for $$ for my charity." Diane Davis

"5 Stars! Thanks for the tips. The scope of the course was very precise, to the point. I liked the length of the video tutorial." Sunil K Thodupunuri

A great introduction for the fundraising topic! However it is rather a communication skills and rhetoric course than background for fundraising. It would be great to add a section for adressing huge companies, as fundraising as a business on a larger scale. Thank you!

As a Face to Face and Donor Care Manager, I found this course insightful and inspiring. It emphasized the importance of being the message ourselves, which resonated deeply with me. The practical tips and strategies provided will definitely enhance my approach to engaging with donors. It's knowledge I would share with our team. Thank you so much!

This was a nice, straightforward explanation for first-time fundraisers. I found the simplified explanations ideal for quickly breaking it down to inexperienced parties. It would be beneficial to have an example video made of a sample pitch so others can have an idea of things such as tone, content, and body language that are useful to keep in mind or avoid. He verbally explained it, but people follow different methods of learning and it could only improve the course. I didn't enjoy the less informative videos from lecture 14 on. I agree reviews are important for growth and enrichment, however, I feel that can be asked more simply rather than drag on as long. For example, requesting reviews, offering the guarantee, and combining resources (TikTok, reading example) can be one video. Overall, good job!

This course focuses too much on the individual donors and doesn't provide much insight into how to get big corporates on board. But all in all, it left me with a good structure and set the foundation for my work. Thank you!

By Kelly Kislaya on 4/27/2020

The course did help in clearing the basic concept. However, it focuses mostly on an individual, one to one fundraising. It would have been even more helpful had there been something on approaching corporates and crowdfundings.

By F. Husseini on 6/22/2019

This is useful once you have some foundation in fundraising planning. For novices like myself, I would recommend starting with the course on fundraising planning then proceed to this course. The focus of this course is how to prep and interact with your donor.

By Karen Simmons on 2/22/2019

I have only my limited personal experience in fundraising - specifically giving to organizations. With my new role as a National Director for a Youth Development Program for a Nonprofit (3rd sector) organization this gives me some concrete ideas and selling points to discuss with Donors and perspective donors.

By Leah Levine on 12/13/2018

This course was an amazing course! I now feel way more confident to fundraise! In this course you learn how to plan an effective way to ask for money that keeps you calm and confident and will hopefully get you the money you want! Thank you Thank you!!

By Audra Eng on 8/31/2015

I felt the course really didn't get started until Lecture 7, and with that it's about 35 minutes of lecture and that's it. I'm glad I only paid $10, because I think the information was worth $10, but shorter than I would have expected. Instructor was engaging and confident, but I definitely don't think it's enough for a full fundraising course or ensuring you will successfully execute a big fundraising campaign.

By Diane Davis on 7/11/2015

TJ Walker did a great job engaging my attention, showing me the simple process to use to achieve the goals in fundraising I wanted, and being very straight-forward about techniques to use to overcome personal limitations or mindsets &fears to be effective in asking for $$ for my charity.
