Course Description
Just updated for 2023! We have confirmed the all code of this course in 2022.
This course is designed to help students and programming enthusiasts who are just beginning to learn programming. The goal is help learners get a better grasp of concepts of programming, along with a little bit of fun.
Students will follow Sophia and her brother Jacob, as Sophia is introduced to the world of Python programming. Jacob, the elder sibling, is a programming engineer at an IT company and Sophia is just a curious teenager enthralled by the realm of coding and eager to be an IT engineer herself, just like her brother.
Sophia is excited to learn how to code in Python after her brother tells her that that if she learns how to code, she can create interactive animations and even create her own games. He also lets her in on some other benefits of coding.
He teaches her every single detail, even how to download python from the Internet, how to install it and how to write simple and helpful programs. Jacob lets his sister learn hands-on by letting her do a lot of the coding tasks herself.
This course will provide students with a fun way to learn coding skills. The concepts are explained in such a simple fashion, that even a child can easily learn to code.
At the end of the course, students will be able to do simple calculations, make lists and learn how programming can be put to practical use . More importantly, students will come to realize that there is no reason to be afraid of coding. In fact, anyone can code, as long as they have the desire to learn.

I think that it is great, very entertaining and really hooks you in. I like that you use cartoon characters, it makes it much more interesting and makes me want to keep watching. I really enjoy this course, but I think you should pause for about 10 seconds or so during question time after you ask a question so that it gives kids time to think if they want to try to answer it. Other than that, I think this course is great, and I am learning a lot.

The course, so far, was AMAZING and AWESOME and EXCELLENT!!! The course was pretty funny sometimes and I like Jacob trying to explain things to Sophia. Lastly, I just wanted to say that I LOVE the questions at the end of the video. Thanks, guys for making this video and animation. I really appreciate it!!!

Section 1 was great, Section 2 was pretty good, but section 3 was awful. there were so many details left out that I ran into a brick wall at every turn. There wasn't a clear indication of "where" to download Mu Editor, the image didn't import at first because the program was looking for it in the wrong place (My guess is where the program was installed or saved), then the random import failed and I have no clue where to begin to fix that issue.

New students are HIGHLY dependent on the accuracy of lessons in this course because they cannot see errors and missing pieces of code. This instructor needs to test his course with total newbies, one page at a time, including the use of the EASL. If we did not have a very advanced architect in the house, we would still be stuck near the front of this course.

This was................. AWESOME!!!! I learnt everything correctly!! I have finished this super cool course!!! But I don't understand the Bonus Lecture.. It shows a link to Animate U's YouTube channel and all Udemy courses, which I completed right now... Anyways, Thanks a lot for helping me explore a new interest!!!

1. When I needed to print the certificate it had the wrong name even though we updated the information. 2. There are many spelling mistakes throughout the course which does not give the user confidence that the instructor knows what he's talking about. 3. There were a few mistakes with the python code itself specifically, indenting the code. 4. Otherwise the course is really fun to do and it is quite useful. Thank you!

It was simple and it makes it very clear about everything. I like how it relates to things in real life and how it shows everything to you! But, it was a little hard to understand near the end. Overall, I highly recommend it to kids in fourth grade and above and young grownups who are learning to code!

I have learnt a programming language called QBASIC before, I had taken a course for it. If you see the variable rules are pretty similar. So comparing the way the QBASIC course was thought and this one I have to say the animation and explanation is really great and interesting totally worth the money
