Hoodoo and Conjure for Beginners (Udemy.com)

I absolutely love the history information, as a priestess who does workings I can truly appreciate the history of these workings, and the imperativeness in understanding what your doing in these workings before delving into the workings without important knowledge first!! Sometime we think we want something to happen whether good or bad can result in what we learn that we didn't want that at all. I always want to ensure that the workings provide a win win situation for all and understanding with also having the wisdom to know that also acceptance may also be an acknowledged result.

I really want to give this 5 stars because I like this instructor, but I feel that the course is a little skimpy. This is a great overview, but there really isn't much instruction in it. It's more like a 100 level class, where you're simply introduced to the concept, but aren't given any workable data. I was really looking forward to some hands-on work. I realize it's a beginner class, but I was hoping to walk away with at least knowing how to begin. I was also hoping for more PDF resources such as lists of spirits and their purposes, list of candles, herbs, etc. and their correspondences, and a recipe or two for oils and powders. A couple are mentioned, but it would be great to see the actual recipe and maybe some resources on where to obtain the items. I would also like to see a section on the fact that Hoodoo is an African-American practice that was developed by slaves dealing with black spirits and how a white practitioner can fit in. I hope that this course will be updated to include these things in the near future.

There is a lot of invaluable information in this course that I wouldn’t have been able to find anywhere else. The way Stacey explains and reiterates things is calming and reassuring, and I myself have found positive change in just doing the simplest of things recommended to me throughout this course. I can’t put a price tag on this course, but if you receive the opportunity to learn from this course, I highly suggest that you do. Thank you for everything.

Thank you Stacey, this was a brilliant course and I learnt a lot. Coming from a Druid spiritual background it was very interesting to learn about a different approach to magic and seeing many parallels between the two systems. As a trained percussionist I had already heard about the ritual drums and rhythms and different Gods, I traveled to Cuba and long time ago I went "down" to New Orleans. Your course helped me to get a deeper understanding and motivated me to perform simple but effective rituals and spells.
