I'm a business law attorney and I help entrepreneurs start businesses. Before I became an attorney, I managed two small businesses from the initial startup phase through a fast-paced growth stage. It was a wild ride where I discovered a true love for all things business!
Additionally, I come from a family of business owners. My parents purchased a small business when I was young and they still own it to this day. While I was growing up, I worked for them and had the opportunity to see first hand the challenges and rewards that come with choosing the path of entrepreneurship. Now, I have the privilege of being their attorney and walking with them in a different way as they continue to grow their business.
Given my entrepreneurship background and legal expertise, I understand both the technical side of getting a business off the ground and I appreciate the risk and challenges that entrepreneurs must go through each day to keep their businesses up and running. All said, I love business and I love helping people start their own entrepreneurial journeys!
Lastly, but most importantly, I am a husband to an amazing wife and a father to two amazing children. My family is what drives me forward and keeps me going each day. I could not do what I do without their support every step of the way!

This course is a great beginner's course to understanding the basics of the different types of entities. The instructor is good teacher and easy to understand. The main objective of the course to be an overview was accomplished. I would have liked to hear a little more explanation on the points for the last section on the best option.

This course was wonderful. Easy to understand, recorded well, helpful information. It made choosing an entity very simple and straight-forward.

This really helped me understand each type of entity and what they entail, even though I knew of them for years beforehand. It gave me an idea of what direction to go. However, I was a bit thrown off when the recommendation was LLC...especially when it discussed how an LLC member can choose to be taxed as any corporation. This was never hinted at throughout the main part of the course, and it was not made clear how or why someone can have (technically) an LLC, but choose to be "taxed as" an S-Corp or C-Corp.

Course has some good information and is straight to the point, which I can appreciate. The content is definitely a quick overview, but for someone with very limited knowledge on the subject, such as myself, it is a great starting point for learning about and deciding which entity is best. Thank you.

This course was organized well and clearly presented. The concepts discussed were simply articulated and easy to follow. Illustrations were provided to help convey concepts more clearly. I would have rated this course 5 stars if it had provided a touch more detail about each entity type.
