Course Description
HR analytics is also known as people analytics or you can say talent analytics. It is kind of analytics which helps HR managers, executives to make data-driven decisions about their employee or the workforce. It gives you expertise in using statistics, technology on unused but very important people’s data which can help you in making better business decisions and management for your company.
In this course, we take you on a journey where you start from a simple topic of calculating mean and move on to many complex topics such as text analytics. Hence you kickstart from statistics and land on machine learning techniques.
Once you have completed the course, you can help your company to better drive the ROI. Classic approaches are not sufficient in getting the required result in the long run.
To overcome this gap we came up with a solution where you can learn the techniques of solving these problems on your own in a very simple and intuitive self-paced learning method.
We have tried to create a very simple structure for this course so even if you have no knowledge or very basic knowledge of analytics then even you won't face any problem throughout the course. In this course you will:
Learn applied statistics right from scratch.
Simultaneously learn analytics on R and Python.
Identify the dependent and independent variables in your dataset.
Understand the steps involved in data preparation.
Various methods to measure Central Tendency, Variability, and Shape of data.
Understand the steps involved in Hypothesis Testing, Univariate, and Bi-variate Analysis.
Learn the concepts of Feature Engineering.
Understand the concepts of Statistical model building.
Identify a business problem and its importance.
Understand the concept of Machine Learning – Supervised and Unsupervised Learning Techniques.
4 Hands-on case studies.
More than 20 types of charts/plots.
And the most important is applying machine learning on HR Data and predicting futuristic insights.

I signed up for this course specifically for python. I was particularly interested in applying logistic regression to the attrition case study. Since the code for this case study is only provided in R, I'm a bit disappointed. Moreover, multicollinearity is also not explained in Python. I would highly recommend that the trainer should involve these 2 sections in the module. Thanks

Taking the course so far has been simply amazing. It has opened my eyes to so many things and areas hitherto unknown. The delivery is superb and simple to understand, and the hands-on work along with the facilitator makes it easier to comprehend. The ability to go back and re-watch the video while practicing is an added advantage. Kudos. thanks for this opportunity to learn without much stress.

The experience was very good! Everything I expected and more! One or two pieces of code were out of date, but a quick google search, and I was able to find the updated code. Really happy with everything and happy to have this code now! Would be to have a course like this for R for data visualization.

The course was generally great. I gave it a 4.5 out 5 for both the content and the instructor's assistance. Content-wise, I think the instructor does a really good hob at explaining the basic concepts of stats and data analytics using HR cases and references. He would usually explain the maths in an adequately simple and clear manner, and the intuition behind some of the codes. He does sometimes pass the longer, more complexed codes and just tell you to copy and execute it, but I usually figured it out by reading documentations. This course is obviously more about the practical application of data analytics in HR and I don't expect it to cover all the basic coding or grammars of Python and R, so I don't held much against it. The content is indeed very hands-on, and was also well balanced between Python and R, except for the two final projects, but that was sufficient for me. One other big plus of the course is that the instructor is very responsive to your questions - although the response wasn't always helpful, as half of the time I did have to do some self-diagnosis or refer to other sources for a solution. However, he usually takes time to follow up and makes sure you've sorted out your problem, which I greatly appreciate. Overall, I thoroughly enjoyed the course and the teaching of instructor, and would recommend it to any HR person who's looking to get a start on using data in their work.

This course promises HR Analytics based on Excel, Python and R. But the course should mention some pre-requisites like some knowledge of python, R as well as excel. The python and R coding is difficult to follow for someone like me who has very little experience of coding. This is especially visible in the three case studies at the end of the course. The statistics part is explained but not all topics were explained clearly. This part is highly subjective, but at least statistics was covered in good detail. As far as the three case studies are concerned there are 2 based on R and one based on Python, but no case study on excel. Actually excel is given very less importance in this course, but since the course includes excel as well, a case study on excel should have been included and would have been useful for people like me who can't quite understand the python and R part. At least I could have learnt how to analyze data in excel and taken something from this course.

I highly recommend this course to anyone who wants to start in the HR analytics world. The course shows a hands-on approach through a comprehensive and straightforward syllabus. The instructor stands out enormously and is great at making the links between the HR world and Stats & math that enrich the analysis. I sense that the instructor masters all the technical concepts, yet he is gifted in teaching, and that is how he can reach an audience that probably has little or no background in R and Python. If you can't explain it simply, you don't understand it well enough; I had never seen stats so actionable and attainable. Looking forward to seeing more courses from Unlock HR in the near future.

Highly recommended. Very good course. Covers almost all topics in detail and are taught step by step. Given half star less because it didn't cover only 1 topic/analysis which I was keen to learn i.e. identifying high, medium and low risk employees for attrition along with approximate date/month of leaving.

Its a good starter course in HR Analytics having flavours of ML algorithms using Python & R. However in depth coverage of some topics like text analytics or practical application of Predictive Attrition Analysis could have been improved. Also the hands on projects were more focussed on R rather than Python. The course creators may want to provide the corresponding Python codes as well for Multiple Regression & Clustering case studies. Overall a good course to get you started on using ML in HR Analytics.

Very good course, I enjoy the clear explanations and the fact that they give you all the files you need in excel, python and R - to use them in the future! Amazing work:)

The course is a very good platform to learn HR analytics concepts on three platform simultaneously with added statistics knowledge provided. I will highly recommend this course to all the HR professionals.
