Love this course! Honest, straightforward, inspiring instruction. Although I've done courses on painting before - I needed to refresh my memory since those were a long time ago. I like Christopher's style and demonstration and I've learnt tips and techniques that I had never known. I especially like his pace and ability to finish an oil painting in one sitting. I am in the process of reviewing the entire course before starting on my painting and I'm sure I'll derive even more value from it when getting down to the process. Thanks for a great course!

He is an awesome and knowledgeable teacher. The course was a lot of fun and he explained some things I never heard elsewhere such as the properties of white and black. I would definitely take more courses from him!

When I was young, I used enjoy art as well as read endless amounts of fantasy. Somewhere between childhood and a busy adult life, all of that fell by the wayside. Well, Game of Thrones brought back fantasy and Christopher brought back painting! I mean I'm just an IT guy checking out some Udemy courses for something other than computers and certifications for once and this particular painting course got me since I love Fall.

Its a great, short and to the point course with nice sized lectures that afterwards you can actually be surprised at your finished product. I think the best parts for me were seeing how the light source/effect is created and maybe also which types of paint to use. I don't have any criticisms, but if you're an expert already, you'd probably need a more advanced course.

So looks like I've finally regained a hobby - Impressionism! As time permits I'll be taking more of his classes to see what techniques are used for building structures rather than just nature. Thanks Christopher!

I am inspired to give this painting a try! I love the play of light and the freshness of color! The explanations and the limited color palette were well done. I look forward to absorbing this information and freeing up my technique.

Clear, informative and useful information. He gives a lot of good tips that I have not gotten in other teachings. His style is easy and open. Very good at relating the basics of impressionism.

Pretty great course. It's a bit short because he creates the entire painting very quickly. A lot of aha moments for me. I'm new to oils but I love impressionism and have wanted to try. I feel like this will give me a good boost in confidence to try this.

Great on detail, and surprisingly more simple that I expected. Friendly instructor, with a sense of humour.

I haven't yet attempted the painting, but watched the whole class to see what was required. Now I will collect together the materials needed, and will soon follow the instructions. If it turns out close to Christopher's I will be happy.

Instructions and videos good on detail, takes away the fear of attempting oils for the first time.

This is a good working example and lots of good details. I think the value study at the beginning and how he did that were very helpful to understanding how to use the example to recreate an original work of art.

I like the relatively simple way of explaining and demonstrating each step throughout the painting. I would wish to see his source photograph and compare it to the final painting. Thanks, it was also very enjoyable.
