I am a Muslim myself -alhamdulillah- and i kind off expected to be learning more about finance from the Islamic Aspect in a more direct way. I am a little worried that this may not have a solid finance and economics related core and only circles around the subject... either way i am only saying this cause its a must to show what could be done to become even better "a muslim is his brother's mirror" hadith about how you should and must advise your brothers about what can be done by them to themselves so they can be better.

Great introductory course, clear guidance in each video! More assessments and liners explaining the correct answers in the assessments would have been appreciated. More case studies would have been good too, I enjoyed the deep dive into how riba and Gharar fuelled the 2008 GFC. More of such examples, or can bring up specific institutions e.g. Islamic banks / microfinance / businesses that are already applying Islamic ethics, and to all their varying degrees.

This is very interesting on the differences on how business is conducted. I would like to have slides available with some of the key points for notes as this very fascinating. Overall, the course is very good.

Missing summary resource document to compare and see by glance and after fact what are the differen islamic product, laws and names meaning as definitions and consequences of contains, allowed, disallowed statements within.

For a first time learner, this course is in-depth more than other introductory courses. There is substantial foundational theory that needs to be reflected on, and reviewed on Google to increase and integrate learning. It’s a pity there is delay between interrogation and a response but it definitely a course I need to do again.

By Anonymized User on 6/23/2022

The course provides guidelines to finance respective to religious teachings and guidance hence saves the human race from the misconception of wealth is the devel itself.

Yes it is a good course especially to learn that everybody who is supposed to work has to work. It has also stressed on the importance of earning through legitimate activities.

By Rinshad K E on 3/23/2021

It definitely gave a good brief introduction to Islamic Finance. However the topic of Rules by Imam Nawavi could have been explained a little better. Especially what is Illah, criteria of ribawi goods etc..

By Mohammed Shafahad M on 7/11/2020

This is a good course! I would definitely recommend everyone to take this in order to ensure that we have knowledge of how Islamic finance works; and what our creator has ordained for us. I suggest that this course should have regular quizzes after every chapter to ensure retention of what is being taught. Jazakallah Khairan
