Course Description

Question:

  1. Do you want to learn the basics and why your business should be using Quality Management TODAY?
  2. Do you know why your quality will reflect your professionalism in the eyes of the client?

It's a misconception that 'quality costs money' as a poor quality product or service will ultimately cost you more.

Whether you're starting out in business or have been trading for a number of years, 'Quality Is Everything'. Unless a prospective client already knows you or you already have an established reputation, trying to gain new clients can be a difficult task, especially in today's climate of competition.

To give yourself the best chance to win that new client, you must show that you're not only equally as good as your competition but BETTER, much better in fact!

In this course we will be looking at the history of quality management over the past two hundred years and how it has evolved to become an International Standard, the ISO9001. We will be defining 'Quality' and 'Quality Management' to better understand how we can achieve these requirements for our clients.

We will be looking at the ISO9001 and specifically Clause 4 that deals with what needs to be included in a QMS (Quality Management System) and working through a 'Quality Manual' template that I provide so at the end of the course you will be well on your way to having your own Quality Management System.

Finally we will be looking how to implement your QMS and continual improvement so that you get the most out of Quality Management and ultimately achieve your business goals.

If your company or professional body requires you to complete Continuing Professional Development (CPD) or Continuing Professional Education (CPE), then this course will constitute half a days 'training'.

Bonus

  1. Quality Manual Template for you to work through and for part of your QMS
  2. Course Notes on each section for you to read and reference off line

A good refresh of generic information. Just a question why is Section 5 Part 26. Course notes has a duration of 30 minutes. I believe it is misleading the users about the total duration of the course. Thanks!

By Kit Koeck on 10/23/2021

Laid out in a step-by-step way. Provides foundation for how the QMS started. Notes are provided for download so information is able to be revisited.

The course was comprehensive and informative, but was it out of date? No mention of the ISO 9001:2015 and the clauses in the course does not reflect the current clauses in ISO 9001:2015. However, the principles are the same. The link to the word document template for creating your own QMS did not work. I noticed a few spelling errors, which appeared unprofessional. I did enjoy the course and it was a good introduction to QMS and it would have scored a full marks if it wasn't for the above points.

I'm quite deaf and more or less depending on the text that is supplied. The translation of the presentation is beyond abominable. I had to make my own copies from the text to visualise and understand it. Furthermore, the promised word version of the QMS is not available and questions are ignored. One question has been unanswered for two years!!!

Good inclusion of Deming. However, not the most up to date as the ISO 9001:2008 has been superseded by ISO9001:2015. Nice start to ISO for companies of a certain size - what about those that are only 2 or 3 people - a steering committee in that scenario seems a bit excessive, are there ways around that?

By Ajmal Ahmed Siddiqui Mohammed on 7/8/2016

Crystal clear explanation with examples.Need more real time examples in training course, Or else you can create a section where the trainee will be given a task to complete and this task would be evaluated.

By Phil Craven on 3/22/2016

Solid review.Met goals set at start. Notes for each section to download much appreciated (more courses should do this). Would have scored higher with a set if questions for each theme area. But very good value and excellent resource for someone needing overview of ISO 9001.

If you want to understand the meaning of ISO9001 QMS this is the course. The content is comprehensive and informative. The Quality Management System template that was provided enables you to understand and put the theory into practice. You can actually create QMS Manual.
