Enrolling in a hypnotherapy course proved to be the epiphany of a lifetime. During an intense class, our instructor reminded us to cut our energetic cords before settling in at home. Puzzled, I asked why, as we hadn't engaged in any energy work – or so I thought.

Her response? "Jayson, hypnosis (is) energy work."
