The "Journalism: Be a Great Talk Show Host" course benefited me, and I gained several valuable insights. However, I found the course length a bit limited for the breadth of content covered. Given the slim likelihood of anyone securing their own talk show, there's a terrific opportunity to adapt and expand this course. You should consider broadening the course's appeal to include individuals like small business owners interested in creating content for vlogs, YouTube channels, TikTok, or other social media platforms. You possess a wealth of knowledge that could significantly enrich this course and make it more versatile and applicable to a much broader audience. I still give a five-star review based on the current content and the fact that I got something from it!

Most of the time, the course was spent talking about himself, instead of giving good advice/tips. Even the last section was spent on him talking about giving “him” a good review and how to do it. Plus saying his customers give him 10,000 dollars and how we’re getting that 10,000 dollar advice, yet never gave it.

TJ's course was very interesting, insightful and a great source of inspiration for me to improve my skills as a host/interviewer. I really liked TJ's straight forward approach, not beating around the bush and his very practical tips & tricks. One addition I believe would be great to include into this course: "how to politely interrupt people who don't come to an end". I know there's a few ways, but I think it would be great to get some of TJ's expert tips on how to handle those kinds of situations. No matter if the format is for TV, social media, web or something different. Overall, I highly recommend this course!

Hey TJ! thank you for the great course!! Although most of the information shared seems somewhat somewhat basic initially, but with enough practice you will see the improvement that we all seek! We all have to remind ourselves to put things in practice and hit the record button! For future reference, i think it would be extremely helpful to provide more content specifically relating to hosting shows on major social media platform such as Youtube, Tik Tok etc..( deconstructing the hosting styles of popular influencers for one) as they're probably more relevant to aspiring young hosts nowadays. Perhaps it could be structure as a different course along with the camera confidence that someone else mentioned previously in the comment~ Hope that helps! Thank you again for the great course! Boy

The course is very basic common sense techniques. Very well explained even to someone who has absolutely no idea of media or hosting. Confidence building techniques could be added to give students a boost as nerves can be an issue. Overall a good fast simple course to follow. Thank you

The course gave insights on things that are practically possible and can be effectively achieved with constant practice. The easy yet seemingly effortless advises were so informative. Looking forward to practice and hone the skills.

its because am more interested in radio talk show though even this information is much better because i think when hosting a show you need these ideas from Tj and for me it has moved me more steps as far as journalism and talk show is concerned and communication skills in general

As a professional journalist and broadcast producer, I find most of this course is common knowledge, so far. The hope is that it will become more technical - in terms of acquiring a new skill. I look forward to reading the PDF's with the same hope as well.
