Kirsch Mackey is an Electrical Systems Engineer and is also a Ph.D. student in electrical and electronics engineering. His research focuses on using machine learning with control theory to assist in power system stability and digital control of power electronics.
Kirsch has a strong passion for teaching technical material, especially software that engineers use every day to get work done. He is also OrCADCertified in OrCAD Capture, PSpice and PCB Editor by the North American distributor of the Cadence software, EMA Design Automation.
Over the past 7 years, Kirsch has instructed hundreds of engineers on how to use Cadence OrCAD, Allegro and PSPICE. He also provides consulting for product managers in PCB design.
Kirsch has facilitated the circuit design and development of more than 1,000 unique 1-4 layer printed circuit boards from embedded systems to LED drivers and switch-mode power supplies.
