I’m relatively new to NinjaTrader and still getting comfortable with coding in Ninjascript, but this course has been a game‑changer. The explanations are clear, the structure is easy to follow, and each lesson builds naturally on the last. For anyone who wants to create their own trading strategies—whether simple rule‑based systems or more advanced ATM logic—this course provides exactly the kind of practical, hands‑on guidance that makes the learning curve feel manageable. It’s been incredibly helpful in accelerating my understanding and giving me the confidence to start building and testing my own ideas.

Exceptionally clear course. Very helpful in expanding my algo trading from forex/indices, which I code in MQL5 and Pinescript, to futures, using the Strategy Builder + Ninjascript. Pinescript/Tradingview is just not as powerful as Ninjatrader for algos (especially those using Level 2 data and orderflow analysis) and terrible at rapid strategy optimisation. And I should also add that they way in which the material is presented is easy to understand even for someone with zero coding experience.

Excellent course and explanation, the tutor is very organized and didactic to explain something that in itself is complex. I would like the tutor to create a course with 5/10 ideas of tentatively profitable strategies to optimize, explaining what types of markets can be worked with those strategies.

This was a good course and delivers good basic knowledge for building Ninja Trader strategies. I would have liked more info on some strategy concepts like overfitting and how to optimize a strategy while attempting to not overfit the strategy to the data sample. For instance how to utilize monte carlo or optimization overview to select strategy variables that are not outliers due to specific market conditions that may not exist in the future.

Although the course was very informative and I feel I learned more than my money's worth, I was extremely disappointed with the explanations in the coding sections which was most of the course. I couldn't finish the course and probably will not. This is not a course for beginners. You need to be comfortable with Ninjatrader and have more than a basic understanding of coding to get the most out of this course.

Another excellent course by instructor Sonny Parlin! I wish I had known about this class 6 months ago as I struggled to try and figure out NinjaTrader on my own and with limited online instructional videos. Coding has always been super intimidating to me, but Parlin is breaking everything down into easily understandable, bit-sized chunks. He's helping develop my confidence in coding on NinjaTrader and in setting up trading strategies and indicators.

This is what I have been looking to learn for a long time. As a beginner in any type of coding, I have been running into dead ends on how to efficiently to learn ninja trader strategies. This class has been super helpful so far and is easy to understand, implement, and follow along. I always felt if I ever get a baseline of understanding and knowledge on this topic, I couldn’t teach myself with all the free resources online. This is perfect for providing that base of understanding and implementing of different strategies.

This course has the right speed and explanations. Although 1 strategy did not work out, it was very well done. And I would continue taking classes from this teacher as I believe he can get you on the road.

I'm new to NinjaScript, and am still trying to get the hang of it. I've tried to create strategies before, but was worried it was a little beyond my skills. This instructor took complicated concepts and translated them into easy-to-understand language, so I was able to follow along and understand where I was previously going wrong before.
