I'm somewhat confused...do I buy a simulator to inter face with this video?? How do I do that once purchased?...How do I download the information that you reference in the video???

Yes, I've 'played' with MS Flight Sim in the past but what a difference it makes with an instructor. If you are for real, you need to have one. Thanks

I enjoyed the course. It's about the closest you'll find to having a flight instructor in a simulation environment. The instruction is very clear and well presented and a good pace. I purchased both the beginners and intermediate courses. This course is higher in cost than most Udemy courses which may put some people off. Howard provides course notes, and also offers to assess your flight if you send him a recording of your flight which increases the course value. The course uses the Cessna 172 in FSX but I'm using X-plane which works as well, although I'm finding landings in X-Plane a little tricky. I've played around with sims for a long time now but I never took it very seriously. Flying using VFR flying rules, correct comms and electronic navigation aids adds a new dimension to the simulation experience. The course provides a good introduction to anyone planning on training for their PPL.

The content is very unique in this course, It's not just the theory around learning to fly, it also shows how to practice it on a simulator which saves a lot of dollars on flying in real environment. I have enrolled in other beginners courses on learning to fly. I would rate this course so far the best flying course on Udemy. I am looking forward to enroll in author's upcoming Intermediate level flying course.

A really fun course whether or not you intend to pursue a private pilots license. Howard does a great job of helping you through the whole process of learning to flying by using a combination of his experiences and Microsoft Flight Simulator to get thru the basis. Lessons are broken down into easy to absorb pieces. Howard is very easy to listen to and keeps thing interesting. This course is fun and well worth your time in my opinion if you are interested in some basic flight instruction without spending lots of money or getting into a real plane.
