Life is filled with changes and yet as human beings we often resist and/or fear change. Although change is how we evolve and grow we often suffer through the phases of a transition that we experience.

Using slides and reflective activities participants will be encouraged to question their own patterns, resistances and emotions while going through a change process. The better equipped we are to understand our own emotions and barriers through a change process the better we will be able to thrive through any change.

Whether we need to navigate through change on a personal level or help a team member, family member, friend etc. through a change process this course will allow you to gain some simple yet effective tools and concepts to successfully thrive through a transition. Who this course is for:

Caroline Samne

As a facilitator and agent of change, Caroline designs, develops and implements change strategies that are successful the first time around. Caroline believes that successful change in organizations is largely based on the ability to understand the human and organizational dynamics that encompass the organization. Being able to adapt and thrive in times of change is no longer an option but a key need in todays world. Organizational Success is built on agility and the ability to stay ahead of the crowd. In order to be nimble organizations must embrace change and do so in proactive ways.

Caroline holds a BA in Psychology and a Masters in Human Systems Intervention. She has been working in the field of community and organizational development since 1991. Her work has included large-scale change interventions, group facilitation, change management, strategic planning, group development, team building and evaluation process development. Caroline has worked in the Public, Para-public, Private and Community-based sectors. In 2002, Caroline started teaching part-time at Concordia University in the Faculty of Applied Human Sciences.

Caroline has trained with Merrelyn Emery (Search Conferences), Edie Seashore (Use of self as an agent of change and Communication and Feedback), Gervase Busch (Appreciative Inquiry), Diana Whitney (Appreciative Inquiry), Kathy Dannemiller (Whole Scale change), among others.

Weird voice overs, sounds like lots of cutting of sentences. Unusually accents like it has been recorded by a computer not a person. Content has value but it is masked by the voices etc.

I like the content, but the production value and presentation could be improved. The speaker sounds forced and robotic and there is a hum from the microphone when she starts/stops talking.
