Before I was 20 years old I didn't know any Spanish, I bombed my 1 year of French in high school and thought Id never be able to learn a secondlanguage. When Iwas 20I took a 2 month crash course in Spanish and went toMexico for two years where I continued to self teachandmastered the Spanish language.Ive been speaking Spanish now for 14 years. Im a member of the American Association of Teachers of Spanish and Portuguese. When I was workingin Miami, Imet a guy from Venezuela who had authored a book in Spanish. He wasn't very proficient in English and after about a week ofgetting to know himhe asked me if Icould translate his book to English. Which Idid and it was fun and all but translating a book isn't as exciting as teaching Spanish. Iwas an interpreter fora couple of landscapecompanies in Las Vegas and ran a business of my own inSpanish being that my employees were Spanishspeakers. Over the years I've had a lot of people ask me if Ican teach them to speak Spanish like I speak it. From these requests comes Spanish Made Simple. I've taken the conceptsof howI learned and mastered Spanish and have simplified themso that those who take mycourses will become conversational and fluent in Spanish in a simple step-by-step fashion.
