MERN From Scratch | eCommerce Platform (Udemy.com)

I am writing this after completing section-11. I have taken this course in July. And, today is, august 22, on which I completed section-11 in its entirety. The course is great. It's very valuable. I have learnt so much from this project. For example, I didn't knew Redux Tool Kit and RTK Query. Of course, the course assumes that you already have knowledge, but if you don't, then it's completely on you to learn about Redux Tool Kit which is exactly what I did. And then, the backend part is amazing. I have learnt the entire work flow of backend i.e How to write server.js, How to write APIS, How to integrate Async Handlers, Error Handlers, Middleware of protect and admin into your API Work Flow. I dont know about other negative reviews, but for me as a beginner, this was a game-changer. I am completely different person with more knowledge and grasp on concepts compared to when I was starting the couurse. I do recomend you to absolutely buy this and ignore the negative reviews. During times, I saw negative reviews in both question and answer section and in actual reviews. Some reviews scared me. But, they are false. This course is worth it Thank you Brad for this amazing course.

This course is incredibly useful for anyone looking to build a complete React application using React Router and Redux Toolkit. If you already have basic React knowledge, you will find that this course covers almost everything you need to know. Additionally, it offers insights into backend programming with Node.js, making it suitable for applications where backend complexity is not too high. Before this course I feared of the backend and overall the whole fullstack development but after this course I feel that I can make my own projects from 0 to 100. Even if I'm a non-native English speaker, Brad was fully understandable. Thanks for the lot of great tips and tricks as well as the useful knowledge

Amazing course! I liked the structure of this course where Brad starts with the frontend, then moves to backend and finally the database in which each phase the products rendered differently from .js file placed in frontend folder and backend folder respectively ending up with rendering the products from the database. At the final stage of this course Brad does the checkout process and finally the admin page. Also including the Redux makes this course even better. Also the course is taught clearly although there are some videos where Brad barely touches some topics which need some further explanation (especially for beginners). But, as Brad said, this course is for those who want to get their hands dirty. Overall, it is an amazing MERN stack course.

Overall a pretty good course. But it's somewhat outdated. So it have a couple dependencies and depreciated api issue . Ex: React/ Redux / Redux paypall button / React-Router / React-Bootstrap. But mostly these issues can be fixed with 1. npm i legacy peer deps 2. change to newer api syntax. I will say if you just finished learning javascript. Don't jump straight to this course. Learn React / Redux / React -Router first . Also this course will be much better by having a work-flow diagram and a little more explanation . But it can be fixed reading your github commit. You will sort get it the work-flow and the structure. Happy Coding

I challenged myself by creating the back-end entirely first, and edit along the way with the errors. As a front end developer I found this approach to help me understand redux and state management a lot better, as well as understand how the server side works. Granted its not the best approach, but its an approach that worked for me. Amazing course!

To Begin with my conclusion: I think this course is worth it; however, there are some points, I have to mention. At the end of the course, you can create an "website", yet not in very perfect practice. Besides, since the code is not bugless, during the course you still need to figure out some errors by yourself. So I recommend students to take this course should have basic knowledge of react ( at least of understanding of state) would be better, or you will get lost and feel helpless with the bugs.

Just finished the course, and I have to say it was a great course by Brad.
Brad takes you step-by-step to build a MERN eCommerce fullstack web application with many features and learning materials to digest on each technology.
Highly recommended.

Really enjoyed the course. Learned a lot of new things. Even the repetition of creating constants, reducers, actions were good at solidifying the steps you need to do in order to implement a new piece of functionality
