Welcome to "The Ultimate n8n Course," where we embark on a journey through the world of low-code programming and the powerful capabilities of n8n. This course begins by introducing foundational low-code programming concepts, allowing learners to grasp the essential principles that will enable them to make the most of n8n. By understanding these concepts, participants will be well-prepared to explore the n8n interface.
As we delve into the n8n interface, learners will discover how to navigate the dashboard effectively. This module highlights the key features of n8n, guiding students in creating their first workflow with ease and confidence.
The next phase of the course focuses on the core nodes that constitute n8n. Participants will gain a comprehensive overview of built-in nodes, learning how to work with HTTP request nodes and utilize data transformation nodes to manipulate and manage data efficiently. This knowledge is crucial for developing dynamic workflows.
Moving into more advanced topics, we will explore flow nodes, emphasizing flow control and error handling. This module teaches best practices for optimizing workflows, ensuring that students can create robust and efficient automations.
Throughout the course, we will also discuss various use cases for n8n. From chat AI processing to agentic AI applications, traditional workflows, and APIs, learners will understand the diverse applications of n8n in real-world scenarios.
A significant highlight of this course is the administrative section, where we cover essential topics that are often overlooked in other classes. Students will learn how to install and run n8n locally using Node.js or Docker, as well as in the cloud. We will also introduce easy panel hosting for quick deployments, making the process accessible for everyone.
Finally, we’ll dive into database management, showing participants how to access the default SQLite database and providing SQL queries for extracting data from PostgreSQL databases. This comprehensive approach ensures that students are well-equipped to leverage n8n for any workflow they envision.
Join us in "The Ultimate n8n Course" to unlock the full potential of this dynamic tool and elevate your automation skills to new heights.

The course helped me with being autonomous with n8n, although the teaching sometime is messy and confused. I think the teacher is truly a pro with ton of experience, however, sometimes following the lesson is hard because there are long introductions, rambles, etc. Nonetheless, there are also gems and clear way of thinking through systems that only an expert could show. And I dare to say, that I learned more than n8n only (I've a website running through easypanel. I would've never touched it otherwise.) So, while sometimes following is hard, it's worth doing it.

The introduction first explained not only the complete outline of course, but also suggested was to navigate through it. Then the explanation of the basics took in consideration that some beginners have absolute zero (Kalvin's zero) about programming and gave a brief essential introduction about the types of variables.

In depth presentation of N8N covering all the nooks and crannies. Currently I am in Section 7 and so far so good. I will update my review after finishing the course for the final verdict. Edit: So far still good, but I do notice that the instructor often goes around a topic on a tangent adding to the video time, that could be utilised into something useful. All said, this is still a top notch course.

TLDR : I am working software professional and wanted to know to the point about n8n , I achieved what I wanted from this course. I would highly recommend this course to any one. I would highly rate this course. I love how David covered most of the fundamental nodes and mentioned the tips and tricks of using those nodes. I appreciate David covering topics not directly related to n8n eg. parameters , quantization etc. David has sprinkled tools that help working with llms or n8n.eg LM Studio , getting random data from mockaro.

Hello! I feel highly disappointed with this course. The instructor seemed very knowledgeable, but the course presentation is awful. The course lacks slides or presentations. N8N tool has many concepts that are important to introduce. In a single lesson, the instructor seems to go in circles and almost never goes from point A to point B. The instructor does not bother to create a lecture demonstrating a specific example of a workflow that touches on important aspects meaning a lecture lacks a planned scenario. There is no high-level overview in each lesson. Instead, the instructor sort of randomly does detailed steps in some random order. The instructor jumps between many screens and drags a mouse pointer all over the screen many times that's very visually irritating. There is a free community edition, but the instructor focuses on the paid versions. The installation instructions typically start somewhere in the beginning of course, and not towards the middle.

Overall course was fairly decent. The instructor tended to ramble a bit and burned up a lot of time showing failures that should have been edited out of the instructions. His intent was to show that development is not clean and involves a lot of problem-solving but it was wasted time for those with development experience. Otherwise, his delivery was good and he took care to attempt to cover some of the hidden mishaps one might encounter.

The great thing about this course is the professional background of the instructor. His real-world experience is a very welcome bonus. I used to be a university professor myself, as well as a seasoned professional. As an instructor, I always wanted my students to learn what works best in real-world scenarios. And that’s exactly what David does.

I want to express my sincere appreciation for the outstanding work David SODEN has done with your n8n course. The way he has structured the curriculum—from demystifying JSON for beginners to guiding us through the complexities of hosting secure web servers—demonstrates not only deep technical expertise but also a rare ability to make advanced concepts accessible and actionable. One aspect I particularly valued was your authenticity during live demonstrations. He didn’t shy away from moments of difficulty or unexpected outcomes—the so-called “demo god” moments (what we call the “effet démo” in French). Too often, tutorials are overly polished, giving the false impression that everything is simple and seamless, even with no-code tools like n8n. By showing the real process, including the challenges and how he works through them, he highlighted the true intellectual rigor and expertise required. This honesty is both refreshing and educational, providing learners with a more realistic and empowering perspective. The course stands out for its clarity, logical progression, and the real-world relevance of each module. It’s clear that he has invested significant time and thought into every lesson, ensuring that even those new to automation and low-code tools can build robust, secure solutions with confidence. Thank you for the dedication, attention to detail, and for creating a resource that not only teaches but empowers. The passion for teaching and commitment to student success truly set this course apart.

This is the first course I’ve fully completed on Udemy, and that says a lot! The instructor does a fantastic job of explaining n8n concepts clearly and in a step-by-step manner that’s easy to follow—even for beginners. I especially appreciated the hands-on demonstrations and real-world use cases, which made the content feel practical and immediately useful. While one video ended a bit abruptly, it didn’t take away from the overall learning experience. The rest of the course is well-structured and flows smoothly. If you're looking to get started with n8n automation, this course is a great place to begin. Highly recommended!

Great course. David Soden is a great teacher. I love how comprehensive this course is and how he explains the concepts. He tries as much as possible to highlight use cases for the stuff he is teaching. That sure does make the course a bit longer, but I think its well worth it. I think it would be nice if he could incorporate more opportunities to practice the concepts. At least one or two for every chapter.
