Course Description
Almost half of all dogs are overweight or obese, while half of all dogs will get cancer at some stage in their life.
Worryingly, these statistics are just the tip of the iceberg in a whole host of 'modern man' conditions such as arthritis, diabetes and heart disease that are affecting our dogs in epidemic proportions, not to mention our wallets!
The principles of this course will transform the long-term health of your dog and significantly reduce the likelihood of your precious pet becoming yet another sad statistic.
How? By identifying natural foods that promote optimal health and eliminating the ones that trigger the onset of disease.
This course will enable any owner to create a tailored nutrition plan for their dog, no matter what stage of life it's at.
1000s of dog owners have switched from highly processed commercial dog food and embraced natural feeding - and with amazing results and success stories.
Enrol now and start your dog's journey to a healthier, happier life!
But don't just take our word for it, here is what some of our happy dog owners have said about the course:
'Thank you so much, we are amazed at the difference, not only in Bling's health and condition, but also her temperament. She has so much more energy for walks and is much calmer around other dogs too - we can only assume she is less cranky now that she feels better. The course was easy to follow and apply and we could not be happier as a result...and nor could Bling!' Ramona Carraro & Dog Lady Bling - Frome, Somerset
'Look after your dog from the inside out. Often over looked, diet can play a part in behaviour and we should be looking at diet when assessing a dog's behaviour and implementing a training program. Do Good Pet Co. offer a course for dog owners that is simple to follow and gives you a clear understanding of what's best to feed your dog as well as an insight to some of the nasties hidden in some packaged foods sold in supermarkets and pet shops. A recommended read for all pet dog owners.' Emma Cummings, Force Free Dog Trainers, Surrey
'The course helped me learn how much rubbish really is in a lot of dry dog food!!! Also, I didn't realise how much more healthy natural food dogs can actually have!!! Every dog owner should have to read this course when buying a dog...by law!!!' Dan Jenneson with Dogs Betty & Fred - Bournemouth
'This is a brilliant course for all those folks who what to feed their dogs good food but want to make sure that it's balanced and healthy. I loved the bright and informative literature that make the subject easy to understand and less daunting. I would thoroughly recommend it to all dog owners.' Charlotte Russell & Dog Robert - Gillingham, Dorset
'I really enjoyed the videos and the brilliant and pretty informational PDF’s that accompany them. My Chihuahua loves his new species appropriate diet which includes foods I would never have thought of giving him. Thank you Do Good!!!' Mimi Elias & Dog Jehst - Acton, London
'After finishing the Do Good course I feel in charge of giving my new puppy Royston, the best start in life. I was shocked to learn the damaging ingredients in standard dog food & how it can lead to so many diseases, but now I have peace of mind that I know exactly what I’m giving my puppy & why it’s the right food for his species, plus I’ve got some recipes to make treats for him too. Thank you for a wonderfully put together course that both me & Royston are very grateful for! Kelly Dunworth & Dog Royston - Weybridge, Surrey
'I found the course very good and very informative. A lot of the stuff I know now, but 6 months ago it was a nightmare to find out what to do for Amber due to her compromised immune system. Since changing her diet and the amount I feed her she has lost weight and has loads more energy too. I think everyone should do this course before they get a puppy.' Susan Brooker & Dog Amber - Wiggywags Dog Walker
'After doing the course, we were shocked by how many nasties are in common dog foods!!! Scooby was getting scabs at the edges of his ears and after doing the course and switching him to a natural diet we have noticed such a difference in him. He is in much better condition and his ears have completely cleared up. Thank you Do Good.' Fi Balkwill & Dog Scooby - Wandsworth, London
'Thank you for providing a great course. This has really added to my existing canine nutrition knowledge and I hope will be useful in the future for my own dogs and potentially my clients!' Danielle Taylor - Norwich, Norfolk

Some people think I'm (barking) mad! Why? Because I gave up a well paid and successful career as an editor and presenter for MTV, to work in the glamorous world of dog food.
And with good reason! After embarking on my own natural feeding journey with my two dogs, Juke and Marley, who I rescued on the streets of Thailand (an entirely different story!) I was so amazed at the results that I felt compelled to share the benefits with the rest of the world.
Both dogs had been raised on a natural diet, but after coming to the UK and switching to commercial dog food, their health deteriorated.
Juke was plagued with weight issues and was getting stiff joints, while Marley couldn't keep enough weight on and had two seizures.
Leveraging my expertise in journalism and media, I founded the Do Good Pet Company and created this video based course in order to create an easy to follow, practical and effective course for any dog owner.
From all of us at Do Good - we wish you a healthy, happy hound!

This is the best course so far on canine nutrition on Udemy. Good audio, great visual examples and good resources. It was packed with so much interesting content. Great for any dog owner wanting to increase their knowledge of the pet food industry and how shifting to a raw diet can be so beneficial. I also enjoyed the attached resources that came along with this course.

Extremely useful Info! Learned about some foods to include and some to exclude in my "Best Friends' '" diets. Some very EYE-OPENING facts about commercial foods that a responsible dog owner should definitely be aware of. Excellent production quality of the course materials for each Module.

Really good course as an eye-opener to the dog food industry and the lack of regulation. It is true that moving your dog to raw eating might be difficult but, definitely worth trying and see the logistic with time! I will recommend everyone that has a dog to do this course!

yes even though I have studied raw nutrition over many years before to enable me to feed my dogs correctly I have still learnt a lot of new things especially that blood tests are different in raw fed dogs than commercial fed dogs, things like liver ALT's would be more elevated especially if the dog had eaten liver before the blood test

This was a well put together, informative, and worth-while beginner's course on getting started on better pet nutrition and well-being. I'd highly recommend the direction and methods involved to others interested in optimal feeding practices for their beloved canines.

I work for an all natural single ingredient dog treat company. We sell dehydrated proteins such as chicken, beef, kangaroo, fish, goat, turkey and pork. We are 100% Australian (& NZ for GLM). I learnt alot about nutrition although I think i'll need to watch again to ensure it sinks in properly. I'd be interested to know your thoughts on dehydrated single ingredient treats as they arent exactly raw but they aren't cooked either. After the freezing process they are air dried at very low temperatures for long periods of time. We also sell BARF but we do not manufacture it directly. I'd love to know what your thoughts are on dehydrated treats. None of our treats contain any preservatives, additives or added sugar.

I take this course because i just started giving my dogs homemade food and wanted to open a new business in this area. I actually saw the good result on my dog when I switch to meat. But I didn't actually know how to prepare the right amount of nutrients they need. From this course learning so much about how to feed them, what foods are dangerous, what & how nutritious & healthy homemade foods are compare to commercial foods and how to made them. The quality of video and the explanatory is very good & easy to understand. It is a good start for beginner like me, I recommended it.

This was a fantastic course to gain some knowledge about the canine and what they should be eating. Now I can be in my kitchen and actually know what's good or bad, or if any health issues arise, have the confidence to provide what my pet needs. Certainly recommend, the contents are not very overwhelming like some courses are. Very easy to follow.

I mean... It's a good start. A lot of information, but there aren't any references to scientific researches or results. None. We get answers, but without facts or references these are just one man's opinions. Plus, the Do Good Pet Company exists only on Facebook, and its last post is from 2017... Not too promising.

Having been researching and reading various sources on pet nutrition, I found this course basic. It is helpful in understanding dog nutrition if making a switch from processed food, however, would personally have helped if areas like cooked food for dogs - how much to feed basis the nutriton that gets lost and what to keep in mind & a better understanding of knowing how much of superfoods should be introduced in a dog's diet - how much is too much. I personally feel this can be way better, but is good in a shallow sense of understanding or educating when there is no knowledge in the subject.
