The Relationship Between Marketing and Marketing Management
Think of marketing as the actions you take to promote your business, and marketing management as the overarching system to plan, execute, and refine those actions strategically.
Here's a simple analogy:
Marketing is like cooking a delicious meal. It involves finding the right recipe (products/services), sourcing the best ingredients (market research), and carefully preparing the dish (advertising, promotions).
Marketing Management is like being the head chef. They devise the overall menu (marketing strategy), manage the kitchen staff (marketing teams), ensure the budget is efficient, and keep track of customer feedback (measuring results) to perfect future meals.

This course was average for me because the course length was very short and also there were more articles than videos.
By Durgesh Kumar on 11/22/2025
This course brilliantly covers every essential topic in a clear and concise manner, all while staying highly relevant to real-world marketing management.
By Marie-Thérèse Le Roux on 7/2/2025
A useful overview of the core principles of marketing, both from a traditional and online perspective. Although the creators invite interaction on their online platforms, the content itself is not very interactive, so it is important to concentrate, do some further research and consider relevant, real-world examples from one's own experience and work. Overall the course delivers what it promises.
