Python 3 Programming: Beginner to Pro Masterclass (Udemy.com)

Overall: 3/5 Pros: A great introduction to python coding and jupyter notebook. Then the case studies and sections on machine learning provided a good overview of some of "what's possible". Cons: This course has not been properly updated since it was released. It took me *hours* to get everything installed, and once to the case studies and ML sections practically every single lesson contained code that was legacy/obsolete - didn't work. I had to work out how to fix the code: how to install alternate versions of packages, how to replace old versions of arguments and methods, etc. The sections on case studies and ML also didn't contain enough practical work for the student - watching others code isn't ideal. As a 'beginner/intro to python course' this was great, and is well worth the effort. The shear aggravation I had trying to make up for the obsolete code, and the lack of more involved examples is why this gets a 3/5.

Well done, but needs a little clean up. I had to supplement the material with a Python intro book to get it to stick in my head. Most of my programming experience has been with COBOL, dbase, and bash scripting. It was hard to get use to closing loops/conditionals with indentation. I wish you would have starting out with a crash course on what the colors mean when editing code.

At times the course was very simple, and then it would get very challenging when looking at the machine learning. I found when I installed Jupyter I had picked up Python 2 instead of 3 - I do not know how - and it was quite hard to change this to version 3 afterwards. Some of the code did not run, I am wondering if it is because of this? Altogether this was just the course I needed and I hope to do another one to reinforce the course contents here. I do not know where else I could learn this at such a low cost.

This course is awesome and full of real world examples. I also love the quizzes that and in course questions that are included in the video when the professor will ask you to pause video and attempt to a new concept. The only reason for the 1/2 stars, the course should have included real word projects that can deployed to a web server that other people can access. I.E. projects you can use to demonstrate what you have learned.

The course was very helpful and the lectures informative and the professor was extremely friendly and presented the materials very well. Sometimes I got stuck in certain places and had questions that were not specifically answered. However, I am assuming that it was not possible to answer everyone's questions due to the sheer amount of other class participants. It might make sense to break this course down into two or three courses because it was far too much work. I had to stop and return. Then I forgot some things and had to review them. During this period, I lost motivation. It is far too much content for one course. I am an English native and have also taught English for over a decade, so please feel free to contact me with assistance in improving the content or if you would like group or private lessons in preparation for the next set of videos in order to avoid making the same grammatical errors. But, thanks very very much. I feel that through this course, I have mastered the basics of Python 3 Programming!

This has been the best fundamental python course I have come across so far...The instructor has a good voice, not squeaky or loud, so you can follow along without getting bored and sleepy.

I have updated my rating and increased it still in the beginner section and I like how he explains everything. Not my first python course. A big issue was the environment. The instructor, like many others doing python or machine learning courses tell you to download Anaconda and I'm no a Mac and had issues with the built in Python 2.7 and I could not get Anaconda to switch. Solution - Use Canopy it has everything already installed and adding packages is easy. So far so good. I'll update when I finish the course.

Got kind of disappointed when noticed that the course was still incomplete, with some video classes missing. This should be said before buying the course. The rest was really good, congrats.

I was expecting to refresh my basics and then go for more complex exercises, it is very well explained and demonstrated however the yellow round cursor in the display hides what is discussed, could be improved. Also one cannot memorise everything so how to remember from the troubleshooting point of view or what kind of job we would able to do after doing this course.
