Few Comments from Udemy Learners:
"Hi Kumar, I realized that the lectures have been upgraded into a better mode. I came back for revision of pytest and noticed that lecture notes are finally provided. Also, there are also your personal annotation in the videos which are very helpful. Thanks for improvement. Appreciate it."
"Overall the course is good. It gives the understanding of software testing environment other than just programming. Certainly there will be difference in reviews depending on someone's knowledge in Python programming language. I am new in this domain and I know basic Python programming language. So I think if you provide more complex examples also in the course content that would be fine for better exposure and to get the understanding of how deep we need to go or to know where we actually stand in this field. It was good experience with this course. We get good and helpful knowledge in less time."

It was a great explanation. It would be really helpful if you could also share the code after each session. That way, we can easily refer to it and practice by running it multiple times on our own. it's a bit challenging to take notes while constantly zooming in and out during the Zoom session. Having the code available would make it much easier to follow along and focus on understanding the concepts. Thank you for considering this suggestion

Generally well-structured and clearly explained, but the examples/usecases are so basic and generic, that it's sometimes hard to find the true usefulness of concepts/features. In my opinion, a good teacher should at least give one (or a few) actually useful examples, best case create a scenario where he can apply those concepts. Otherwise decent course.

The trainer is knowledgeable in the subject. Since this course is suitable for me as a beginner with pytest and pycharm IDE, he could fine-tune teaching process with simple keywords in examples to help my understanding. I started to learn a lot from section 6.

This is what I needed. I have been taking a lot of AI in Python classes, but they never write unit tests (bad practice). I have worked with many languages and testing frameworks and just wanted to know how to do the same thing (or comparable) in Python, which is essentially to invoke cases for each basis path in each module with an assertion of the result from the function call, global scope variable setting or class instance state change to be tested. Markers, skipping, command line and fixtures are all explained well with good and simple examples.

1. perhaps better notes content. 2. you don't cover mocks in this course. although it is part of unit test - it would be nice to have it in this course. 3. You haven't talked about finalizer. 4. the order of running when there are multiple fixtures: 1st executes with 1 instance > finalizers > next fixture instances (I think this is missing so far)

It is a good course, the instructor explains very good the topic, but there are some parts where he explains about the topic but the exercise is already done, so he doesn't type anymore but it explains what did he type, but overall it is an excellent course with amazing explanations.

This course offers a solid introduction to Pytest and its application in writing effective tests for your code. While it provides a comprehensive overview, some might find the examples a bit abstract, especially those with limited coding experience. Including more relatable, real-world examples could enhance the learning experience. Nonetheless, considering the content covered, it provides great value for the investment, offering a valuable understanding of Pytest and its features for practical application in your day-to-day work.

There are a lot of features covered in this course and good notes propered to revise the material but it lacks a bit of real-life examples. We get a lot of examples based on strings manipulations and arythmetic operations but there is no example of how to prepare setups and teardowns with db setup and so on. I would also appreciate why we should use pytest instead of other frameworks; it is good to sump up the best feature of the technology.

You seemed going way to fast in later sections. for example if you wanted to show something or indicate something from different file then you just quickly switched between files. Otherwise, very informative course. It helped me alot. Thanks :)

This was a fantastic course! An understanding of python and OOP basics is helpful, but to really get the most out of the material you have to immerse yourself. There are places which require further research by the student to fully comprehend. My experience was enhanced by changing the variable names and adding more print statements to the code that I was creating coding along during lessons. I was able to see the flow of the testing through the various modules, functions, fixtures and pytest specific config files. The exercises were really well designed starting with basics and working eventually into more advanced concepts. The tests and code were trivial, but the ideas and concepts were developed really well. It took me several hours to get through one 15 min lecture and had moments of frustration, but by the end of the course I basically have built a generic pytest framework that will be easily used as a template for my projects AND actually understand what's going on (wow).
