Course Description
Data Science, Machine Learning, Deep Learning & AI are hot areas right now. But to learn these, for some of us programming is a bit of a problem. Not all of us are from a programming background. Or some come from a Java background and might not know Python.
These days, Python is the de-facto ( almost ) programming language for Data Science. So, to fill that gap, we have created a course that covers just enough Python for you to start up and running with any of you the Machine learning algorithms you are interested in.
Python Programming -
Python programming is one of the core skills required for any Data Scientist. However, not all wanna-be data scientists have the required programming background let alone Python skills. This Python online training program is designed to let you start all the way from the basics. It teaches you the basic skills in python. Here are some of the topics we will discuss in the course. You don't have to understand these topics just yet. The listing is to just give a good inventory of the topics that we will be covering in this Python course.
variables, type conversions, flow control, operators & Expressions.
Loops - for & while loops , nested loops, for else loops
Strings, built-in and user defined functions
Data Structures - Lists, Dictionaries, Tuples, Sets
Object Oriented Python
I/O, exceptions
Standard library - date/time, file I/O, math, statistics & random numbers.
For any data scientist, these are the absolute essentials of python.
What about Data Science & Machine Learning ?
This course does NOT teach you data science or machine learning. Python is a broad purpose programming langauge. It can be used for a variety of purposes like building websites, process automation, devops, Data science etc. However, this Python programming course is designed specifically to cater to the needs of the Machine Learning or Data Science learner. By the end of this course, you will be in a good position to apply your python skills to apply to any of the Machine Learning or Data Science algorithms in Python.
Who this course is not for ?
Although most newbies or experienced folks will benefit from this course, it is not suitable for
those experienced in Python already.
those who already have some Python programming experience, but wish to learn more about its application in Data Science or Machine learning.

We have deliberately kept quite a number of videos for free preview. Hopefully, this will enable you to judge our Python Programming course before you take it. Either way, Udemy's 30 day return program will hopefully help you with a refund in case you don't like the course. However, we are absolutely positive you will like the course.

Very disappointed. It's not engaging at all! A lot of confuse notes, talking with annoying indian accent, lots of repeating, several misplanning and mistyping that can potentially prejudice someone that is trying to follow the thinking to learn. Before this 14h course, I watched a 2h introduction course that taught me almost the same thing, just to have an idea of how much could be improved. Honestly, I just sticked till the end for the certificate. Terrible, awful course.

This course is the bomb!! if you are a beginner in python then this is definitely the course for you! concepts are well explained and there are lots of challenging practise exercises to help you master the materials presented.

Lectures are not in order voice is sometimes too low teacher sometimes repeats something over and over and then jumps other stuff He repeats himself too much in other words, it is not a well designed course and audience time is wasted to some extent

I think this course is a great course, you explain the topics very well, and I have learned a lot with you. I suggest you more order of videos, topics and quizzes, because they do not have the same order as they do in your webpage. Please, keep updating the videos because there are more topics in your webpage that are not explained in Udemy platform.

Completing the course has actually provided me with the basics. Grateful to the instructor! However, the instructor could have recommended next level course on how students should continue sharpening their python skills instead of leaving it to them to dig deep into all the python courses in Udemy to choose what next.

The lecturer is excellent, I really enjoyed the lessons. I think some more advanced and challenging material could be taught nearer to the end, maybe harder exercises, but this is great for starting. Or maybe the course could suggest good books or other sources to continue from.

Very clear, great use of written notes and typed stuff. Just the order of things is messed up, especially in the chapter about for/while loops. As most concepts are very basic and I have sufficient b/g knowledge, I'm skipping through some things real quick. But this course is really useful in learning how to work with Python (something I did not have any experience in) and to learn some basic code. Gets much harder towards the end. I particularly like some of the comparisons with java/c-code, which helps to put things into context and helps avoiding mix ups.

The course explains the very fundamentals of the python that are important for a beginner in python. Many courses jump onto the projects very fast and don't explain that deep, while this course do as title suggest. This is a fantabulous course.
