Kunal Sampat

After living in urban neighborhoods for his entire life, Kunal wanted to experience a sustainable, rural lifestyle. In 2013, he welcomed a flock of 16 baby chicks at his home in San Jose, California. Since Silicon Valley kids knew a whole lot about technology and very little about raising chickens, he started to offer free farm tours in his backyard. He enjoys connecting like-minded people, introducing new ideas, and immersing himself in an environment of continuous learning.

I love seeing you snuggle the chicken, it's obvious that you really care about these amazing creatures.

It was nice to have a broad overview of urban chicken keeping before i jump in to nurturing my own little flock.

By Susan Glachman on 5/12/2020

It's fine, not terribly exciting to watch. Really comprehensive though, if you're starting from zero re: chickens you'll be fine. Might be more aggravating if you've already read a couple books about them.

By John Logan on 3/29/2020

Very much enjoyed the course, it will be invaluable when we get chicks and start getting eggs when they're older

By Fran Bradshaw on 1/22/2020
