Course Description
In this course, a father and two sons take you on a fun-filled adventure into the exciting world of programming with Python. Geared towards ages 8-14, this program is designed to teach kids the basic fundamentals of programming and to spark a passion for coding with fun and practical examples and exercises.
Parents should sit with their child to watch each video and assist with installing the necessary software and completing coding exercises.
Basic computer skills, including keyboard typing and using a mouse are required to get through this course and some prior exposure to programming will be helpful, especially for younger children. We recommend the MIT Scratch program as a precursor to this course if you’ve never done any programming before.
All of the exercises demonstrated in this course were run on a Windows 10 computer. Most of the exercises should also work on a Mac as well, although some slight differences may be encountered.

My son loved this course! It made him enjoy computer science and set him up for a life of coding! Even after 2 years, he still codes! Not only in python, but in lots of different languages too! 11/10!! They made it so interesting!!!

This coding is hard and I don't understand any of it so it is terrible. Don't do this coding. It is a waste of money and time.

My 12 year old started of programming with this course and he was able to grasp the content and found it engaging. This is highly recommended for kids, the tutor has a innovative way to teach kids.

My personal experience is that it is a really good course. I liked it when Dylan or anybody in the lesson explained the details of this course. I would recommend ages 7 and up because some of the words and things that they explain is not always clear. But I still liked it. I would like to give a big THANK YOU to Josh, Dylan, and James for making this course so very much fun. Keep it up!

I enjoyed the course, but for the last few I simply couldn't get them to work. For the space shooter, even running the program from the resources didn't work - I extracted the sound and images, put the folders in the same folder as the program, then after that didn't work tried to take the sounds and images out of the folders but it still didn't work: "img3 doesn't exist... img6 doesn't exist... img9 doesn't exist line 2019" (I don't quite remember what it said). However, the course was very enjoyable, especially with Dylan and James.

well some people have rasberry pi and have to use Thonny for their programs maybe if you could make some begginer programs for kids with a rasberry pi it would be more helpful than having a diffrent program than you guys and kind of going nuts about it. Thank you very much although overall i am enjoying this :)

Very Good beginning intro into coding. Great for children to learn, but I would suggest that an adult to be a guide. Plus adults can learn along with the child. Great Job on making this class.

I'm loving this course! The individual lessons are short, with clear instructions, just right for a newbie like me. I can take my time, move along at my own pace, and rewind when I've been distracted. Each small lesson builds to the next logical step in a systematic format. Very well done! Not just for kids, but any beginner will benefit from this course! Kudos!
