I was unaware of the pea problem and the current food I am feeding my dogs with, and having issues with, is loaded with different forms of peas. I knew about the rest of the items, but not really the ‘why’ behind each, till now.

I found the "science "of this course to be very helpful! Exactly what I was hoping to learn about which was the nutrients needed for my dog's diet. The only thing I felt was missing was a basic recipe or a resource to go to develop said daily diet. Translating percentages to ounces feels like it could be tricky.

I am finding this course to be very informative!! I did not realize how similar our digestive system is to dogs. How inflammation can present in similar ways and that inflammatory disease is just as bad in dogs as people. Also I find it interesting how the same kind of foods that people consume such as carbs ect effect dogs in similar ways. We are not that different.

The training is OK - I did not like that they are just advertising NutriScore, which from what I can tell is a tool developed by them, and scarcely available in the EU. I understand that they want to promote their product, and that is all fine and well, but I would prefer if they put some alternatives or options for those who are not in the US or do not want to spend 300 dollars on a test.. I have contacted my vet for example, who is able to perform an intolerance test at a much lower cost. I think they should be more transparent, so that people can choose what is best for them and ultimately provide a better quality of life for their pet, and not just focus on selling their product.

I’m a bit disappointed that you marketed Nutriscan as the test kit to buy when it is not the only reliable test kit out there but it is the most expensive one I’ve seen! Also concerning the phytoestrogens in pea protein, the levels are insignificantly low compared to soy or flaxseed for that matter. Numerous plants have levels of phytoestrogens in them at all different levels. This was misleading information to say the least especially when affordable protein sources in home made food are so hard to find. The price of raw meat is just getting higher. Feeling a tad skeptical.

I'm moving right on to the complete course now. What a pleasure to learn all these in such a straight-forward, clear way. I am no longer scared or confused. I am a pet mom of multiple dogs and cats with different requirements. I am switching one by one to natural homemade diet and I've been seeing amazing results so fast. It is important to take action to quit kibble and switch to healthy menu before our pups get sick with kidney disease or cancer. Don't make the mistake I made. Switch when your pups are still healthy and without symptoms. Following vet consultation and bloodwork of course. Thank you so much for this course. I'm excited to prepare their next meal with my notes from this course :)

I am glad she went thru the items that are inflammatory, it helps me when reading labels for clients to tell them if its safe for dog to consume said foods. I enjoyed the section on supplementation in foods, and was glad that they went over when to use flaxseed oil and hempseed oil. Also, where to get some nutritional value and vitamins and minerals that I feel my own dogs might be lacking.

I feel this information given is for the best interest of the dog's health, and truly appreciate the time taken by these two individuals to create a better understanding of canine nutrition for anyone to access.

I liked the course, it gives a lot of good information about this topic and it's almost a summarised version of the Canine Nutrigenomics book that I'm currently reading, which is also very helpful. I would like to see practical examples of optimal recipes considering the percentages of each food group especially considering we are talking about amount of calories and not weight. I would also like to know how to assess the amount of calories a product has, which I think is essential to be able to create good recipes, as stated on the course. I recommend the course for beginners, definitely.

By Tryniti on 2/11/2018

I really appreciate the explanations of why things are good or not good, instead of just being told. I'd love more citations, however, for each claim and also a bit more in-depth learning available somewhere! :) Thank you for sharing your nutrition knowledge with us.
