Course Description

In this course you will learn how to host your Trading Code/Algorithm on a VPS (Virtual Private Server) or a Raspberry Pi. This way your trading code will run 24/7 with absolutely no interruption. This is an essential part in algorithmic trading as it will reduce your risk and increase your uptime.

You can either use a VPS for as little as 5$/month.

Or use a Raspberry Pi (will cost you 40$, but is a one time purchase).

We cover the benefits and disadvantages of using each method so you can decide which option is the best for you.

We then cover how to host your code in a step-by-step way on both the VPS and Raspberry Pi. We do this by hosting code from our course "Algorithmic Trading: Backtest, Optimize & Automate in Python", which uses the Open Source project called freqtrade. We show exactly how to host that code, but if you have any other code, you can follow the same process to do so.

After doing this course you will be an expert in hosting your code.

See you in the course!

Very informative although I had to make my own service with starting up /root/freqtrade/runservice.sh with the source way.. but it worked like a charm and bot already running. Thank you for showing me the way forward. I am also using contabo VPS because it has huge value for money. Kind regards JJ

Good course! Now I can run my bot on VPS for 24/7! Note: Something has changed on Freqtrade, so you need to make some modifications, and you have to understand that on their official documents.

Pro: -Most of this course is a command line provisioning on a Linux distribution -The course is a collaboration between Mohsen Hassan (as a finance expert) and Ilyass Tabiai (as a tech guru) -The course presents a hardware storage solution using a Raspberry Pi and a virtualized solution using Vultr. Good to know about Linux screen tool. Cons: -Attached resources are more than welcomed to be added (for gist, Freqtrade) -The main purpose of this course is to install and keep alive Freqtrade which is a crypto-currency algorithmic trading software. As an idea for a next course would be to install (or at least a brief presentation) for software packages related to other financial products such as stocks or Forex

I am suffering with this course. Even though it is for beginners, there are some commands that are not clear. Probably, having the step by step, and the commands, in a text file may help a lot.

Before I buy this course, I saw some reviews complaining that the instructions failed to install freqtrade on Raspbery Pi or VPS. However, I managed to install freqtrade on both platform, although I have some background knowledge in Linux. Overall, I am very excited on taking this course. Now, I am able to run freqtrade 24/7.

Issues with Raspberry Pi build instructions. Lack of detail when it comes to build and issues associated with Docker build failures. Setup configuration which rendered a successful build not declared. Not recommended for the noobie unless you have many hours to troubleshoot and a drive to experiment and figure it out on your own.

Excellent. Highly recommended. Thanks guys. And thanks to all those fellow students who took the time to provide help by posting updated code requirements. This leads to quite an important note for anyone thinking of taking this course and wondering whether it might be out of date? The truth is, Freqtrade is a quickly evolving, open source project. That means that some of the information shown will naturally be out of date but do not worry, as updates are posted throughout the course (where necessary) to guide you through, and fellow students also post any new code requirements.

I have already taken several courses from MTG and I'm very satisfied with all the courses and also with this course. Super teaching skills and easy to understand also for beginners. Thank you very much.

Very specific course, but it definitely has value. Created a freqtrade trading bot from their other course, and this makes it super easy to install on a raspberry (in my case). I had no experience with a raspberry before. With the scripts provided the bot will automatically start in case of no connection or no power, which is awesome, so I won't have to worry about that anymore. Definitely recommend

I have followed almost all Mohsen's/MTG's courses and they are more than 1000x the money. The amount of knowledge you get.. you can't put a price on this. I was struggling with finding a guide that would allow me to run a bot in the cloud. I know have a bot fully functioning. MTG's great community on Telegram even allowed me to raise an issue with the creators and they fixed it within 24 hours! Definitely recommend!
