I have personally taught countless teams to learn about automation testing in the workplace. In fact this is part of my job. I know what works when it comes to teaching new people about automation testing and I have developed this course by keeping this in mind.
So, why should you learn cucumber BDD?
Cucumber (BDD) simplifies the requirement capturing process. Requirements can be captured, broken down and simplified effortlessly; making the captured requirements readable to anyone within the organisation and in turn providing the required details and backbone to develop accurate test cases also known as ‘Feature Files’.
Cucumber (BDD) simplifies the process of developing automation test scripts! Students enrolled within this course will see why!

I feel like so far this course is more about the setup to use Selenium than actually discussing what Selenium is and how to use it.

The instructions given in each lecture is outstanding and easy to follow along. The response time to our question regarding any error is quick and solutions provided. I will recommend this course to all who want to be joining the field of automation as a career or advancing their career of todays framework design, this course will achieve that goal for sure. Thank you Gianni for creating such an amazing course to help us land on a job. God bless you! and truly appreciate all the hard work you put into creating such a course.

The course was very well explained and very efficient at covering what is needed without padding the course with unneeded information. Only two issues encountered. The latest versions of Intellij 2023 and 2022 do not work correctly with the Cucumber/Gherkin plugins and even if your feature file is mapped correctly to your step definition. You will receive 'Undefined Step' options error. Tried to add the Glue option in the Run/Debug Configurations but that did not work. What did work was to remove Intellij and install an older version IntelliJ IDEA 2021.3.3 (Community Edition). Later in the course when you try to attach screenshots images to your report scenario.attach will not work in the older version. You have to use scenario.embed(screenshot, "image/png", timeMilliseconds); Everything else worked like a charm. Cheers. -Sal Garza

Wonderfully explained the concept in a short and sweet vidoes. Great voice and great clarity to add to that. Wonderful journey able to finish the course in 2 days. Few suggestions though not mandatory 1. the dependencies used is of version 1.29 but current version is 6.x. We can add a note for that. 2. Extent reports video does not work with current version of cucumber minor changes required Overall the best cucumber bdd video you can ever come across

I find the course super interesting. I had already seen several courses on BDD, but this one is truly well explained, very detailed, with great explanations and very good hands-on practice in each of the examples. I totally recommend taking this course. Well, I’ve finished the course. I’ve already taken other Selenium courses with TestNG and using Cucumber, but this one is definitely one of the most detailed and well explained I’ve ever done. Whenever someone asks me, I’ll recommend this course and this instructor, because I’ve also taken a Cypress course with him, and he always keeps that same clear, calm, and detailed teaching style. Looking forward to more, and thanks for the great content!

This is probably one of the best Cucumber courses. Repetition of basic Cucumber concepts by making incremental changes cements the understanding of these concepts. The framework videos are very helpful to create a new project framework and extend it easily. Suggestions: 1) For future videos, please increase font size of IDE editor and command prompt so that it's even more easier to visualize the code and commands 2) Wherever possible, please show or copy content from official documentation

I started this journey with Gianni over a year ago and have recently come to the end. My automation is ok and in my recent assignment slotted into an existing framework with full Jenkins CI/CD integration and pipeline builds. Following the end of this assignment, I picked the course back up in order to understand how to manually create the framework myself using Eclipse, Java, Cucumber, Jenkins etc to continue my self-development. Although I have a fair way to go in order for me to create and manage Jenkins integration to how I have been using it (which is probably the more advanced stages), I found the course clear, concise and very informative. I was able to follow at my own pace and manage between a busy family lifestyle, allowing for those with slightly more advanced knowledge to have a more in-depth play with feature file and helper class creation. Gianni takes his time and explains things very well, often repeating key points to make sure they are understood later on in other sections. The course material at the end of each section makes for a good reference, being able to compare/utilise if there is something not 100% with what you have created. This was my first experience using Udemy and there were a large number of other courses to select from. All in all, I'm glad to have selected this one and would highly recommend investing in this course! I feel that not only was I ok in the automation/DevOps space previously, I am now on my way to becoming a more rounded automation/test architect with the aid of this course. Keep up the great work!

This is an outstanding course. Gianni's approach on the topics is concise and clear, and I prefer it so. Topics such as Selenium/Cucumber BDD, Maven, TestNG and CI using Jenkins are nicely explained in a practical way easy to grasp. I have learned alot on this course, and above all I am impressed with the way Gianni answered my questions(when I didn't manage to get some code working by myself) in the Q&A section: very quick and helpful, which I appreciate. I highly recommend this course to anyone who needs to learn test automation using Java.

Excellent course. I have nearly completed an advanced framework that currently runs without issue. Gianni has been extremely quick to respond to all of my queries which is very important while working through a course on your own. The answers have been given in detail and have not been explained in a baffling manner. The lessons are clear and the videos are the ideal length. There is no repeating the same point over and over to extend the video's lengths. If further detail is required Gianni is happy to explain in the QA section. Even if you get through the lessons without any issues I would recommend reading the comments for further information. Great course.

I find this course really helpful and engaging. The subjects you will find here are the right ones to be a QA Automation Engineer: Selenium, Cucumber and Jenkins. Lessons are well explained and we can see the instructor is a master in the business. The half star down is for three reasons: i miss some Selenium advanced code lessons, no subtitles available (i'm Spanish and British accent is hard to understand for us) and finally the speed is -sometimes- a little high. Sometimes i have to slow down to 0,5 in order to follow up the exercises. But 4 stars wouldn't be a fair rate: this course is superb!
