Course Description
Have you ever found yourself browsing Google and noticed that some listings just pop? They’ve got eye-catching thumbnails, star ratings, and even handy search boxes. Meanwhile, others seem, well, kind of bland—just a title, URL, and a description.
Why do some results stand out while others fade into the background?
Here’s the secret: it’s all about Structured Data.
Websites that show up with those attention-grabbing “rich” features have implemented structured data. And here's why that matters: search engines are making it clear that “rich results” are the future of search.
If you own a website, it just makes sense to use structured data. Why? Because pages with those enhancements get more clicks. It’s simple—people are naturally drawn to listings with star ratings, images, or other engaging elements.
So, what is structured data anyway?
Think of it as a way of giving Google a little extra nudge. Sure, search engines are pretty good at figuring out your content, but structured data makes it crystal clear what’s important. For example, if you’ve got a video on your site, adding structured data can help Google understand the title, duration, and description, and might even feature it as a thumbnail next to your listing.
Now, I know—just the thought of setting up structured data might seem overwhelming, especially if coding isn’t your thing. But don’t worry. This course is designed to take you from zero to structured data hero—no previous experience needed.
What you’ll learn:
The basics: What structured data is and how Google uses it.
Who benefits from it (spoiler: you do) and why it’s worth your time.
Your options for adding structured data the right way—just like Google wants.
How to make your content stand out with zero coding skills required.
Free tools to create, test, and troubleshoot your structured data.
How to use Google Tag Manager to seamlessly insert structured data into your pages.
Why using structured data on WordPress can be a game-changer—and how to make it happen with just a few clicks.
I get it—adding structured data can feel like a big task. But with the right guidance, it’s totally doable—and worth every minute. Imagine your site standing out with rich snippets, more clicks, and better engagement.
Let’s make your website the one that catches everyone’s eye. Sign up now, and let’s get your site noticed!

I also run a website called ezSEONews, where I provide tutorials on a number of skills required for running a successful website.
As an ex-schoolteacher, I hope I can make complicated topics simple to understand. I certainly enjoy trying!

Andrew has presented a great course, I've learned a heap, I'll be able to apply this with very positive effect on a website where schema is needed. Andrew's presentation was easy to understand and well paced - and - clearly - he knows his stuff. Thankyou Andrew - this course has worked for me. For those reading this review - don't hesitate on doing this course - just do it !

I highly valued the gtm part, on the other hand I would have appreciated more details on: - auditing Schema in bulk with screamingfrog, using the crawler and gsc api - Schema for Merchant Center and the differences with Schema documentation - I think some of the times can be managed in a better way, example rather than typing having ready the text to copy and paste

Great course, full of useful details and tools. It hasn't been updated though, so some tools are outdated (GSC and GTM). Also, it would have been interesting to have an overview of the schema features in SEO plugins such as Yoast, Rankmath (now very similar to Schema PRO), Squirrly etc.

The course is good as always with Andy Williams. It helped me make sense of structured data. However it is outdated as far as some of the tools are concerned. Google Tag Manager for instance has evolved so I couldn't really follow that part of the course and had to work it out for myself. I will say I found the section on how to add the schema to sites a bit confusing. The explanations of the different options seemed to overlap. I use Divi so don't need to know about Google Tag Manager or using a plugin but for those that do need it they might get confused as I did.

Keyword - beginners. For someone that doesn't want to get technical with code, this is a very well done course, and I'd give it 5 stars in that regard. The plugin solution appears to be one you have to purchase, let that be known. If you're a WordPress developer, this will get the mind going as to how to solve the problem you're looking at, but it won't go into that realm of things other than already available tools. This course will get you rolling quickly no matter who you are though; I'd recommend it.

The course is good for beginners and as well as for professionals but not for expert-level people. But it covers almost 80% of your Structure Data problems. So I recommend you to buy this course because it will give you a basic foundation and concept. After that, you can go to an expert level very easily. Anyway, Thank you, Andy William, for providing such an informative course.

Excellent course! a great starting point for anyone "non coders" wanting to know, learn and implement Schema / JSON ld, without complicated coding. The content is very detailed and presented in a very clear concise articulate manner, which was very easy to follow. Presented by a great knowledgeable instructor, I would strongly recommend! Thank You!

Nice, best course I have purchased yet to date, exactly what I was looking for. Just enough technical talk to teach but not so much that I get lost. After finished... disappointing that an app is so much easier to use for this that doing it myself, the point of taking this course was to get around monthly app fee's. I do know HOW to do that now, but jeeze so much work to actually do it. Not course or instructor fault though, still very good course, I will feel comfortable doing, have the tools I need, and know how to use from this course. If you have a large website however forget the time investment of learning this and just buy a schema app.

I have taken some of Andy Williams courses and love his classes. A few years ago I wanted to build a website but I knew nothing about Word Press and took his course and now I am a Freelance Website Designer. Someone said that Schema is one of the most overlooked methods everyone should use but is rarely implemented so I wanted to learn about it. When I saw that Andy had a class on schema I jumped at the opportunity to learn from him. So far I am loving the class. He is very thorough yet it he is easy to understand. I can't wait to keep learning more. Andy is a great instructor.

Very Good indeed. Two new concepts introduced to me that I found very interesting. Structured Data and Google Tag Manager. Got the hang of them both now. The most frustrating part for me was being unable to enable “Preview Mode” in Tag Manager. It turns out that you have to accept Third Party Cookies for Preview Mode to function or make an exception. In my case I made an exception for - [*.]www.googletagmanager.com – and then it will work fine. I also took the opportunity to use Tag Manager to implement my Analytics as you suggested I may do. I likewise added Tag Assistant to my Chrome browser to double verify that all was well. There does seem to be an unresolved anomaly regarding Tag assistant in that it does detect the Analytics tag implemented by Tag Manager (And the Analytics function as they should) but it gives you the message that this is a “Non-standard implementation” and you get a blue tag instead of a green one. That does hurt my feelings slightly but Ill get over it. So, all in all, thank you for another enlightening episode on the Andrew Williams Udemy Channel. Logging Off, Grahame.
