SMART Learning: Accelerate Your Learning (Udemy.com)

I bought this class several years ago and ran through it several times to make sure I had a clear understanding. I really struggled with college the first time I tried, I didn't have a solid foundation for really learning complex ideas. Just the normal western education "just remember it long enough to get the answer on the test right" theory that's really killing innovation and progress. After applying the ideas discussed in this course, I've just finished a Computer Science degree with a 3.92 overall and 4.0 in all major coursework. One class that SCARED me going in, Database Security Analysis, I 360-no-scoped every assignment, project, and exam. I didn't even think that was possible, and I'd never heard of anyone going spotless for an entire semester in an upper division CS class.

Let me start with the good bits. Leon articulates his thoughts well and ensures his point gets across. I shall suggest the "points" themselves be better and of more value. The thing is, in this course, there is not much to take away except for the part that you have to repeat information and the suggestion to use a tool called Anki - which is not much for the amount of time spent going through the course. Also this is not new learning. Sorry I dont have much compliments to give but I certainly dont wish to discourage Leon. Yes, such courses are needed. Perhaps it can improve more in terms of content and learnings and also demonstrations of success for the participant.

Leon is a very smart individual. If you are looking for new ways to increase your learning and reading productivity, then look no further. Tricks to memorize a list information faster and zoom through pages of details are all included in the lessons. Most importantly, be prepared to be regretful. But regretful that you did not use these techniques while in school!

Pros: Instructor appears engaging and passionate; Some advice (e.g. using Anki software, importance of repetition, different learning methods) carry merit. Cons: Instructor wasn't able to apply his 'methods' to any other learning scenario besides learning a language; the content is very basic, though it may inform those ignorant of speed reading, Anki, etc.; his instructions of on certain things (speed reading, especially) lack any notable depth. Perhaps the biggest Con on this list is that Mr. Chaudhari claims to have developed methods that have been used for years, and are by no means novel. The biggest Pro is Mr. Chaudhari's enthusiasm for learning, which is evident. It's too bad the content lacks depth in so many areas.

Hi Leon, I appreciate this course and the material you provided. The techniques that you shared are very good and very well explained but I cant help the feeling that 2 out of every 3 videos were introductions and not the technique itself. I suggest that the ratio of techniques and introductions be 1 to 1, for every technique there should be only 1 introduction video. That way you could share with us more techniques ;). Again, your techniques are great, I am going to apply them, but I was expecting more. I was looking for around 8 - 10 learning techniques.

It confirms what I already know about efficient learning: For success it's important to be learning subject matter that you're genuinely interest in, the need for daily study and varying the study methods and times to avoid staleness and boredom. The course seems sensible and logical. By applying the methods explained will be beneficial.

Really extremely cool Course!!! I read and educate myself more and more every day. I take information quickly and thought that I am fast in the learning. But this course is a must for every #livelonglearner He helped me to learn better! I feel like a learning god! Thx Leon!!! so much!

Concise. Easy to implement. I really liked the topics on creating a study time table, i hope you upload a template, and on speed reading using the corner to corner and center method. I plan to execute these techinques this month.

Too much intros. Too much speaking. The idea which can be explained in 1 minute, takes 5 or more minutes of video. Maybe because I am not audial learner. Plus, not being good english speaker and listener is also obstacle for me, thats another reason why I prefer more visual content, or at least, subtitles.

I'm from Morocco, I thank you for this course, it's very interesting. I'm beginner in English, i can't speak it fluently , i hope to learn it very fast for continuing learning other thinks here in udemy.
