Kae Alexander

I was trained as a Thai chef 15 years ago at a first class hotel in Bangkok and later worked as a chef in Chiang Mai, Thailand. I owned and managed several Thai seafood restaurants in the Bangkok region. In 2012, I married my husband, who is American, and we now live in the USA. I have been involved in a successful Thai catering and restaurant business for the past few years but now wish to share my knowledge and love of Thai cooking with my friends and students around the world.

Really fun, and the recipes were super easy to follow. I had a great time trying them out!

The course is very easy to follow and recreate the recipe's.

By Chandra Lal on 4/7/2019

That was fabulous. I feel brave enough to try to cook any Thai dish now. Chef Kae is terrific. You won't regret buying this course.

If the recipe requires lemongrass they should have waited and filmed when they had all the right ingredients. It is unclear if the dish is a soup or an entree and there're no instructions on how to cut open the coconut.

This entire course was delightful and well presented. I'm not sure if this Kahn Nguyen is a real person, a competitor or just a troll but I have to say my results were as shown in the videos. I don't know how anyone could mess that up.

Fun and tasty dishes

Worst recipe ever. I could find many free video with much better recipes on youtube. I tried Tomyam chicken soup and Pad Thai today following the instructions. They both turned out to be disaster. Every cook, even beginners like me, knows that a good soup must have clear broth. The instructor didn't mentioned a word about keeping the broth clear and just tosses everything together in the soup. Tamarind sauce is mentioned as an ingredient but never used in the video. Mixing tofu early in cooking pad thai makes it mushy... I wasted $30 on ingredients and threw away both dishes.

Its very basic

Looking forward to Part 2 with a Pumpkin Curry, Roti curry sauce, another soup and a pork Laarb with lettuce leaves. I like the ease of preparation and the authentic ingredients.

By Sheila Dollarsby on 6/8/2015

It's good.

Considering it's free and there was a lot of effort put into this to just pass on knowledge, i can only give it 5 stars under current circumstances.
It's a not a massive course, but it does give you a clear idea of few basic Thai dishes.

By Marshall Harris on 2/11/2015

Some amazing and simple Thai recipes demonstrated and explained in an easy and understandable way. Great course!
