The lockpicking demonstration is greatly clarified by the use of a complete cutaway of the entire plug, showing not only the upper pins in each pair but the lower pins as well, which is much more helpful than half cutaway practice locks that only show the upper pin without showing what's going on with the lower pin.

I had no knowledge as to how to pick a lock. This course made it easy to understand how locks work. I did need to use the captions as there was a small amount of language barrier for me. Now, I will purchase the necessary tools and practice. Looking for locks at garage sales would seem like a good place to start. I also enjoyed the bonus lesson for gaining access to a locked car.

The instructors know what they're talking about and are good at conveying concepts. The tests are a little lacking in substance and could use some rework.

I was locked out of my apartment a few days ago. I had to get a locksmith to come and open the door. It took him 1 minute plus 1 Allan key to get it done and I was $230 poorer. This is the reason I want to learn how to do this by myself. And I think I understand now. I will start practising as soon as I can buy the tools. Thx guys, you explained the subject ver well.

This was a half-decent introductory course for beginners who know nothing about lockpicking, but there are dozens of free resources on YouTube and other places that give FAR more information than this paid course. There was absolutely no mention of security pins, no mention of different kinds of locks such as Medeco, and no in-depth discussions on important skills like tension and pick management.
Also, the lesson on creating a bump key should be edited down on time, there's no reason to watch someone filing a key down for 7 minutes without talking.

I started picking locks about five days ago with no progress. Every time I try to set a pin I can't because I can't tell where I am inside the lock I have tried using the traditional picking tool and the rake.
