The Complete Nonverbal Communication Course - Body Language (Udemy.com)

Unfortunately, this isn't a course I enjoyed and would recommend. :( If you're interested in learning about communication, there are better in my opinion courses on Udemy than this one. For instance, "11 Communications Courses in 1" by The Experts Academy is a highly recommended, expert, and precise course covering many more subjects. Really! Here's why I didn’t enjoy TJ Walker’s course, and, more importantly, didn't learn much: 1. This course is supposed to cover Nonverbal Communication (Body Language), but it largely consists of old sets of recordings that touch on unrelated topics like creating PowerPoint presentations and complains about bullets, which should belong to a different course (and by the way, these clips are part of another TJ’s course!). In terms of time spent, it is not efficient. 2. TJ Walker mentioned that he records on the go without a script/prompter (just a list of topics), causing the course to lack a well-thought-out beginning, middle, and end. This leads to unnecessary repetition of sections and subjects, creating a chaotic feel. 3. All of the above is a result of "recycling" clips from other TJ Walkers’s courses! Clips/lessons are available in other courses on Udemy (except last new section), reinforcing the idea that the same courses are sold under different configurations and names many times, and they sometimes are not really related to the course subject! Feels like they are time fillers and reused, but courses themselves are not planned as a whole thing but are a random collection of thoughts. 4. In the section about Large Audience Possible Outcomes, the instructor challenges the listener to be positive, but his tone throughout all his courses sounds very often not so positve instead I feel passive-aggressive and judgmental tone. Constant use of negative words like "awful," "ugly," "boring”, and „blaaaah” while describing mistakes has made me hesitant to continue with this course and reluctant to return to this course later on. His "role playing" to show how the "wrong way of doing something" looks like, is unnecessary and unprofessional and is in almost every clip and course. This makes me feel judged, ridiculed, humiliated, and unmotivated. 5. Maybe I missed it, but I haven’t heard in all of TJ Walker's courses about breath techniques, concentration and relaxing methods, and other useful tools, which I would expect to be mention at least once in such a course. Instead, there are many "DON'Ts." 6. I wish there were no "DON'Ts," just "TOOLS&SOLUTIONS." It is hard to learn communication skills, public speaking skills, and any other skills by hearing "DON'Ts." TJ Walker uses a lot of "DON'Ts": don’t be boring, don’t use a prompter, don’t read from paper, don’t look down…! I expect professional teachers, trainers, coaches to provide tools on how to make something interesting, how to use the prompter if one needs to, how to deal with fear, how to read from paper if one needs to do so. "DON'Ts" are not necessary. Solutions are! So, well, I’m sorry to say but I hardly went through the course… That’s why I hardly gave 2 stars... If you're considering this or other short TJ Walker’s courses, I recommend waiting for a 70-80% discount, which occurs every few months. Purchase the longest course as it includes most if not all the shorter TJ Walker’s courses. It will save you money and frustration. And really, you can find more value, better recording quality, and amazing expert courses in the Experts Academy f.e. „11 Communication Courses in 1" here on UDEMY, where experts are from many fields, time is used wisely, each of the 11 short courses is very well presented, planned, scripted, every word used wisely and efficiently, professionally recorded, providing valuable advice and knowledge, tools, and techniques on how to do things and how to deal with difficulties. It touches subjects such as body language, verbal and non verbal communication, negotiation, networking, presentation and meetings online, and much more. Check this out first!

I enjoyed this course. Nonverbal communication is used frequently in my profession. I learned quite a bit about certain quirks I have and was able to become more confident with the video aspect of filming myself. Thank you, TJ, for such great insight; your communication is the best.

The information presented in the course is useful however a bit repetitive. I know some degree of repetition is required to really grasp the concepts being taught but they were repeated more time than necessary in my opinion. Also, it would be great to have at the end of the course a nice structured summary of what was discussed. All in all, the course was taught in a good way and it is clear that the instructor is applying what he's teaching. I would recommend this course.

This course was very helpful for me, I learned a lot about nonverbal communication, I hope I will have the chance to use what I learned in real life and have the occasion to speak in public and have a big audience to use the skills I learned.

The course is great with high value. Mr. TJ Walker is a super star presenter. However, we need some more fun and laugh. By the way after access to the course I do not find my user name and password that I do not dare to turn my computer off. Regards. Huan.

Good course, T.J. is confident presenter and I learned from his postures and face expressions. 4 star not 5 because I find for myself a little too many talks around subject, before he talks subject (for me it's always better - straight to the point)

This course helped me a lot with my speaking skills, not just only the non-verbal part observing you I got to know a lot of verbal parts as well. Am testing all these skills with my colleagues in project meetings and I found out them being more interested in me speaking than anyone else. And am a graphic designer I have to speak a lot with clients and I sound professional and gaining trust as well. THANK YOU
