Look, this is a good course and they do a pretty thorough job of explaining the basics. BUT, it is extremely basic. I mean, the 'Advanced Investing' section covers how leverage, short selling and options work. So, if you're a complete beginner, this will certainly give you a good foundation (at the discounted price, definitely not worth the full price). Then I would say that it's worth it. However, don't fool yourself (see what I did there hehe) into thinking that this will provide you with some "secret sauce" that will allow you to "beat the Street" as advertised.

So far the content is good and clear. I just dont know how much I paid for the course. Th online ad indicates 34,900 Colombian Pesos; the UDEMY email indicates 34,900 USD. I bought it thinking the initial offer was true (34,900 Colombian Pesos)

yes. before seeing this course, i had signed up with the motley fools stock advisory. this course gives me further insight into how david and tom invest. could have used further exercises to follow the strategies but am half way through and maybe what i am looking for is in the second half.

It starts off quite simple and easy to grasp and then adds a little meat as you go along - I enjoyed it and it does a good job of covering the bases. However in my opinion its only worth what I paid while it was on sale... Still a slick presentation and worth the watch.

If you're planning to buy stocks this is a great course at a great value, and with a great duration. Nothing too complicated or jargony and easy to understand. Will give you the tools you need if you're an average layperson looking to invest in stocks.

When the lectures are slow or redundant for emphasis, I need to be able to speed it up. Lacking that and only having listened to about 15% of the course, I’ll hedge and give it about an 80% rating. Perhaps it will get better or worse as I complete the course.

The fundamentals of Foolish investing are clearly presented in this course. Investment principles can be reviewed until they become one's financial religion. In the past, I have sold five stocks for every one that I have held. Now I think I have the strength to rebuy and sell no more.

This probably is as good an explanation of current investing realities as 80 year olds can try to absorb-- but also an aversion to margins,shorting,options etc. that we need to avoid to protect our limited resources. Maybe that means I should rate it higher? But wanting to go further into the weeds? No thanks.

This course outlines the difference in mutual and index funds in a way that it is easy to understand. It shows what a rule breaker is and why we need to pay attention to the 6 rule breakers. Overall, it gives a comprehensive but short overview of what you will be facing when investing, the different options that are out there and what you need to be aware of at the same time. Great Course to take over and over as a refresher. Z
