TOTAL: Conversation on Cryptography: w/ Mike Meyers (Udemy.com)

Loved this course! But, I stumbled upon a YouTube video from 10 years ago, "Art of the Problem" published on July 30, 2012 that shows this method exactly. Maybe it's one of many, maybe it's the ONLY example. YouTube is a big place. So, Mike did credit Diffie Helman in some way, but I don't know if Mike is passing this color method off as his own or if he is taking credit away from this "Art of the Problem" channel. You decide. Learning from experts is always a good thing! Not sure if it is my video/computer, but the monitor was blurry when showing file paths, although, maybe it was done on purpose, otherwise, fun to watch, and can't beat the holiday price I received. That's worth five stars alone. I guess the tension between Bill and Mike made for a comedy-type routine, but sometimes I felt sorry for Bill. Thank You!

A good introduction to the subject and the presenters make concepts easy to understand. However the details get a little fuzzy sometimes and it might have been better with a fact checked script. In particular the description of certificates in chapter 8 is not I believe entirely accurate so be prepared to do some reading around the subject. Later screen sharing segments are also not very readable (very pixilated) and are focussed towards Windows users.

An outstanding and edifying course. Not leading to a specific certification, but tremendous insight into critical topics. Because the course involves video and because Udemy has no mechanism to fully download a lesson before it starts, you have to set the video to a very low density. Perhaps as a result the screens in the last few lessons are unreadable. Still, an outstanding course, entertaining and well explained.

This is a great series of videos on cryptography, hashing, encryption, algorithms, etc. If you were struggling just like me on grasping the concepts behind cryptography then these videos are for you. Mike and Bill make it so easy to understand and in a very fun way. Great course, great material and a lot of fun. Try it you won't regret it!

the training removed a lot of fog in my knowledge of this complex topic. I could use the knowledge gained in many discussions that I had afterwards, therefore I appreciated very much the skill that I got from attending. It was definitely not boring, despite the topic thanks to the way they used to explain. Congratulation.

One of the best courses I have ever taken. Explained things in a very easy and unique way to anybody who is really new to this subject. At least, I know how cryptography works and how it's managed in the real world now after taking this course. It's a very confusing subject but thanks to Mike and Bill, I was able to understand the basics very easily. I would like to see many more courses from Mike, he is a great instructor! Gentlemen, Thank you very much!!!

Most of the course content was explained very clearly. However, my expectation of the course was a little bit more technical, so this course didn't fit my expectation, which is not the doing of Mike. The course is well-fit for a first overview, but not much more than that. The style of presenting was very enjoyable, so I would recommend to keep doing that. Thank you for an enjoyable few hours and giving me the motivation to keep looking for a little bit more detail on the subject.

Good course. I think Lecture 2 and Beginning of Lecture 3 where reference to ROT 5 and ROT 10 is off by 1. Lecture 4 slides on DES/3DES has a typo, key size is 56-bit, not 52-bit. Rest of the lectures/episodes with screen recording sessions are very low quality, can't make out any words shown on screen even when playback is selected at 720p.

This course has been better then expected. I have refreshed my understanding of several chipers that I was recently working with and learned some much needed additional information. The instructors were both knowledgeable, captivating, and entertaining I look forward to more conversations by this pair. Well worth the funds to get this course.
