The instructor is earnest, and enjoyable. He speaks with passion, and he's willing to not take himself seriously, if it means making a point more understandable. [For one part, he took videos of himself wearing a bunch of different hats to explain how the OSI model works. It was a small thing, but it really made a big difference!] I'm enjoying this course so much more than I thought I would- it is good to pay more for a better teacher, than to pay less for an average one. Find one that resonates with you, like this one, and you're going to have a much MUCH easier time. Very good work Mike!

I almost never write reviews, but I just had to for this one. Mike and Joe are amazing teachers, and I think they helped me understand the topics really well. The other guy, on the other hand, incredible hairstyle aside, literally cannot teach. Not only are the videos far too dense in information, he also doesn't enunciate his words properly or show any kind of emotion whatsoever, so you can't tell if he's going into a new topic/section of the video or whether he's still yammering on aimlessly about the previous one. There is zero structure. It's like he's a friend of the other two who just really wanted to be a part of the lessons but knows nothing about networking. God it annoyed me. Other teachers are great though.

The explanations of the OSI layer, networking systems, and other certification subjects far exceed the explanation of the of the CompTIA paid resources and Sybex publishers. Matter of fact this course cleared up a lot of confusion for me. I am literally reviewing all three because I have to pass this certification. Total Seminars team way of explaining things demonstrates working knowledge, wisdom, and practicality. Keep up the great work!!!!

Mike Meyers did a really good job explaining concepts. he is very animated in the videos, and I never felt lost when he covered a topic. Joe Ramm also did a good job--very to-the-point. Lyndon Williams covered, from what I can tell, all the newer concepts that weren't originally filmed. His videos were VERY dense, and not much time was spent explaining, so whenever I saw that he was next, I mentally prepared myself to write down every word he regurgitated at me. I did like his hairstyle though...

Thank you to Lyndon Williams, Mike Meyers, and Joe!!!!! Because of the series you created, I passed the CompTIA Network+ exam on my very first attempt!!! I am extremely grateful to all three of you, especially MIKE MEYERS and JOE, for teaching me so much in-depth knowledge about working in networking. I am someone who learns very easily when the instructor shows me what to do in a hands-on, practical way, rather than just listening to theory and reading books. Everyone has different ways of learning, and I am one of those who learns best through visual methods. Lyndon Williams, Mike Meyers, and Joe—you are the best!!!! To anyone looking for videos to prepare for the CompTIA Network+ exam, take the course from TOTALSEM. Trust me, you will not regret it and will be very grateful that you chose TOTALSEM. Couple questions in the practice exams were incorrect, but overall great course. I liked that there were multiple presenters, helped with getting bored of the same person talking for hours on end. One thing that I would request for improvement would be a couple more practice test at the end to get a little more practice.

Overall, the course was done thoughtfully. The use of visuals on whiteboards and colored blocks to illustrate packets and frames really brought the lessons to life. Personally, those are the key things that really help me see how packets move through the network. Just one thing, the course could be a lot more impactful, if one of the three instructures, who uses very few visual illustrations on his parts, use them too. Those lectures were quite hard to conceptualize or visualize what's happening.

I appreciate the fact that the shot angle is changing. It's not just at a fixed distance. I know it sounds silly, but the periodic angle changes play a role in keeping your attention. I also like the fact that there are real cords and connectors being displayed as opposed to a picture of the connector. Again, it sounds silly, but seeing the actual connector and not just a picture does "something" that allows the message/content to be received better

The instructions give the impression that they care about the students even when they can't see the students they are teaching. The degree of creativity used to describe the information is very helpful in forming connections to the topics at hand.

Mike is too good. His explanation is very clear, straight to the point and his examples are inline with the content. One good thing about Mike is that he uses bits to explain ip adressing in a simpler way.

Excellent, fun, in depth essential for any techs

Mike is whimsical, knowledgeable and fun. He really does well with simplifying the many complex ideas and subject matters presented in this course. I would recommend this course for anyone who is just getting started or needs a refresher.
